Worthless is what you make of it. Plenty of social jobs and hell, fortune 500 jobs in HR and other departments that you can get with all sorts of degrees in "that class." It really just depends on the individual.
In the same light, anyone going to school for some sort of "business degree" is fucking wasting their time and money by not making money during those years. The curriculum in those programs is no less asinine and candyland than those evil social/"liberal" degrees.
I agree that there is a cost/benefit fuckup if you are paying Harvard tuition (haha--no one pays Harvard undergrad tuition--they have a $50 billion+ endowment! ) for Women's study, then you aren't seeking real value that you could have gotten for that degree at, I dunno, Clemson. ("Beer, Football and Boobies." I shit you not, the US News and world report review of colleges quote from a CU alumni of the 3 reasons to go to Clemson, C 1997 ), but I don't like the idea of accepting a homogenous society of minds and culture that knows only how to do maths, interact with no one, and just make money and fap to their japanese pillow girl.
