If calling her Ms. Piggy is a bigger issue than letting in an immigrant who has such a past and still calls venezuela my country and gets to vote this election, well, the generation of vipers(today known as the greatest generation) has borne their fruit.

Mom got herself out of the nursery and the kitchen. She then got out of the house. She did not get out of the church, but, instead, got the stern stuff out of it, padded the guild room and moved in more solidly than ever before. No longer either hesitant or reverent, because there was no cause for either attitude after her purge, she swung the church by the tail as she swung everything else. In a preliminary test of strength, she also got herself the vote and, although politics never interested her (unless she was exceptionally naïve, a hairy foghorn, or a size forty scorpion), the damage she forthwith did to society was so enormous and so rapid that even the best men lost track of things.[...]

Mom, however, is a great little guy. Pulling pants onto her by these words, let us look at mom. She is a middle-aged puffin with an eye like a hawk that has just seen a rabbit twitch far below. She is about twenty-five pounds overweight, with no sprint, but sharp heels and a hard backhand which she does not regard as a foul but a womanly defense. In a thousand of her there is not sex appeal enough to budge a hermit ten paces off a rock ledge. She none the less spends several hundred dollars a year on permanents and transformations, pomades, cleansers, rouges, lipsticks, and the like--and fools nobody except herself.

It will be.

Not for women.

Oh, but that was in the past, nobody is a saint, etc etc.

Yeh, I'm sure he's seen the light since making these remarks-

When the anchor throws to Carly Fiorina for her reaction to Trump's momentum, Trump's expression sours in schoolboy disgust as the camera bores in on Fiorina. "Look at that face!" he cries. "Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!" The laughter grows halting and faint behind him. "I mean, she's a woman, and I'm not s'posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?"

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/donald-trump-insults-carly-fiorinas-appearance/

Still a pig, and proud of it.

538 polls only has been slowly moving Hillarys way since the debate. It's now 58.2H vs 41.8T.

It takes a little bit for the 538 model to move. One you have to wait for the polls to come in, then the model ignore the first few as outliers until more come in to confirm them (assume they moved a lot). There was a lot of talk about that on their website the night of the debate.

Donald Trump has no record and very few policies, so his judgement and personality is all we have to judge him on.

Alicia Machado could be the biggest scumbag on the planet, but she's not running for President and none of the things she's being slandered with explain Trump's use of the label "Miss Housekeeping"

Can you cite where you got the term "generation of vipers" being the same as the 'greatest generation'? I did a fairly quick search and came up with nada. Never heard of them being referenced as you said. And I'm thinking the 'greatest generation' are the folks that lived through the depression and went on to fight in WWII, so maybe we're talking about different things.

They're hanging around.
I've been trying to figure out the frog meme and after reading the ADL story and reviewing a google image search on it I have to admit I have no idea what it is supposed to represent. IMHO, as a meme, it's a total failure.

Glad I'm not the only one.

Judging from its intended audience maybe we should t be suprised it's a failure.

I kinda see where he was going there, I'm not going to chicken out and take my like off it.

Seems it had meaning on a few levels to me.

I wasn't referring to ubernewmans post just the whole frog thing in general. I get what he was going after.

I understand the alt right likes to use it. I just don't get what it signifies.

Me either to be honest, but there are a lot of things out there that seem a bit odd to me I guess.

A lot of people over time have randomly slapped a meaning on an abstract symbol I suppose.

A lot of memes are that way this days I guess.

I can only encourage you to persist with this, not just with her but any woman with stands in trump's way.

Much of the internet was originally created by pretty smart folks, some of which occasionally act stupid on purpose for laughs. Over time the medium gradually filled with mainstream audiences, which includes the lowest common denominator and children who don't know better. The latter lack the facilities to distinguish between dumb humor and actual stupidity, and over time through numbers displaced OG content creators who understandably lost interest. Pepe is a perfect symbolic manifestation of that group which prior to the net didn't have an outlet for expression. Its lack of interesting behavior is not a coincidence.

Funny I was going to create a thread about this. I've seen the Frog (Pepe?) here in the past. Specifically on the manlet chart and I've seen him on other stuff.
I think he started out as just a funny image, the emotionless face that's hard to interpret on him is kind of funny.
I'd guess one or two Alt-Right guys found him very funny and just started to use him for a bunch of stuff. He's been stolen in a sense, similar to how the swastika and that American Indian tribes symbol.

I always thought the frog was supposed to be sad/disappointed, but apparently the expression and original meme was about aloof satisfaction?

All of those emotions can be represented by a group that finds some sort of joy in manipulating the online polls of a failed debate by their beloved Hair Furor.

This is what I was getting at. Is Pepe supposed to be a stand in for a particular person, an ideology? Is he supposed to be positive, negative?

The sad thing is after the debate Trump raised 18 million in a jiffy. Most was from very wealthy donors but still, no bueno.

well, sort of... the $18 million is a self-reported figure and makes no distinction between whether that's money raised for the Trump Campaign or the RNC and where it came from.

we won't have that info till the next FEC filings in mid-October
