I also noticed how JDrake was online earlier this morning. Ironic considering he was making fun of how LoKe supposedly got on ATOT early in the morning at 11. JDrake was on when I signed on at 8:40 or so.

"important" as in "important to the board." sure, LoKe posts some useless garbage, but he does post some useful stuff too. JDrake nefs, mostly. I've seen him make about 4 good posts (and his Lifer post sucked).

BTW, if you're going to call me out on a high post count, it's because I'm at work on a computer all day and I do nothing but type numbers.

if loke disappeared today the board would not suffer one bit.

If LoKe disappeared, some people might wonder where he is (like me) - that is generally a good indicator of "importantness." Yeah yeah- superficial, I know.

JDrake mentioned previously in this thread that he had finished school and was going on to an "ivy league" college.

Anyway, very few people contribute enough to the forums so that their leaving would cause the forums to suffer. VERY few. A few people would be missed, yes, but their absence (sp? that doesn't look right) wouldn't change the way the forums operate.

No one person leaving would cause the forum to suffer, period. Yes some would be missed more than others obviously, but only someone like RossMAN leaving would be significant enough to make people notice the absence. This place is big enough now and has too many members at this point even for one fairly well-known and liked member to cause a disturbance.

I don't understand what the big deal about post count is. When I see somebody posting on ATOT with 15,000 posts after joining in 2005, if anything I do NOT expect them to be posting anything interesting (although I don't really jump to such conclusions). If anything, if I see somebody who joined in 2000 and only has 1500 posts to their name, I know their reply will probably be meaningful (and they probably won't be in ATOT ).

I think most people on this forum make good contributions...90% of all the daily posters here are pretty much just neffing, and its hard to make every post an intelligent and useful one when you're sitting around bored at work. I try to only post in topics where I have some knowledge and think I can make a contribution, and often have to stop myself in the process of writing a reply to something that I clearly know nothing about, but I invariably also make stupid posts. There are only one or two people on this forum that really deserve all the hate they get...the rest of us are just people who are trying to get by at work or while we're bored, share opinions, and hopefully learn something.

If you seriously have the desire to hate or maliciously offend someone on an internet message board, aren't you the emo one?
