OOOOOhhhhh! :Q

"Cube-land" and caffiene. Nasty combination.

Hey that monitor looks like it's been damaged by gas.

You'll be needing a new 21" flat panel. I went ahead and requested one for you.

You guys have no CLUE to what a messy desk really is. Neat Freeks trying to one up each other on messy. Sheesh,Not EVEN close.

Tomorrow I'll try to get some pics of MY desk and show you what a truly messy desk should look like.

Who was my favorite Charlie Brown character? Pig Pen of course.

Wow - cool! Can you PLEASE be my boss? A 21" flat panel on top of the couple days off(paid i assume) ...You rule! You don't know how much it took just to get this 19" "good" monitor. You should have seen what I was using a couple months ago..a 17" (15.9 viewable) that was older than the hills, buzzed like crazy and I could only get 800X600 res and 60Hz out of it :Q try doing CAD work on that! Needless to say I put a stop to that nonsense and have now taken over duties as liason to the IT dept. for this office since we are a "remote" office. Now we get what I say we need, well except for the 50 P4's I requested - only 7 of us in this office so they didn't think it would slide past management I told them it was for a good cause but they still didn't bite

OK Ray and Evadman - you want "messy" and "lived in"? - this is my Computer room at home. Take note that the garbage bag on the floor in the "enteratyourownrisk" pic is the 2nd bag as I "cleaned" last night.

On the "crackrack" the lowest board = BP6 with 366s @ 550
2nd from bottom= BP6 with 500s@~600
3rd from bottom = BP6 with 366s @ 550
top board is an Asus with an unlocked 1.33 Tbird running at 10.5X144=1512

But i can't complain at £55 for it second hand, and i've had it for 2 years now! Before my mate got his Gibson Les Paul, he had a Strat but preferred to play mine than his!

Brunswick? Don't they make bowling balls? You have a guitar made by bowling ball people?

I have a Brunswick bowling ball. A blue and orange Brunswick groove to be exact. I went bowling tonight and averaed around 170 for all games. My best night ever! Should I post a pick of my ball or my desk?

CADkindaGUY,
Now that is what I would begin to call messy.

Folks, 1 or 2 items out of place on a desk is NOT messy.

Here's some pics of my home cracking fleet:
Left Side (From L to R) Dually2, Crackrack, Dually, Ren, Reved_up & Stimpy.
Right Side (From L to R) AthlonXP, Thunderbird, AthlonXP2 & Coppermine.

My desk at work Celeron 600
My desk at home Athlon XP 2100+

I've still got to install all the corner moldings, mop boards and tidy up some wires, but for the most part it all works fine.

OK here is my mess for all to see

Family system
This is the family system, Asus A7V133 with a 1.2gig athlon, 512meg ram, 100 gigs of HD, ME and XP
thats a Nokia 21 in monitor, visor edge and lots of part on the shelves.

notbooks and stuff

Up top is a P133 board out of a compaq, then below is a I-Buddie desktop replacement with DVD, an Atari Lynx,
an old compaq elite 4/75CX with docking station, and a Sony 20 in that I use for testing other peoples systems.
OH yea behind the couch is my Seti Queue server, an old compaq 486 dx 66 with 2 500 meg drives and My Commodore SX-64

Misc Junk

Couple of systems I'm supposed to be working on. An old compaq 233 that had several things jammed in it by a 3 year old
and a P166 that I built about 4 years ago that now has the Klez.H virus and about a dozen other ones. UGH!

my 3 year old sons system

Nothing special just a P133 that yes runs seti when it can

the server

Dual PIII 550E, 100 gig of storage on IDE, 4 external SCSI drives and tape backup. Runs web, ftp, mail, mailing list etc.

what ties them togeter

Netgear RP114 with 5 ports and a Compaq Netelligent 5000 10/100 switch with 12 ports. The first thing I did when I bought this house
last year was to run cat5 everywhere. Each room has at least 2 connections. Though I didn't do the bathrooms yet

Now I need to build and place the crack rack down with the switch. I think though I'll use the 20 port hub to connect the rack to the switch since these will be diskless systems and there shouldn't be any bandwith problems

enjoy and if there is any closeups you want to see, yell

Youngin's close your eyes, cause here are more pictures of nekid computers. :Q

PIII800 on workbench

Another shot of the PIII800

Note the fancy heatsink/fan clip. (the "tooth" for the normal clip on the socket broke off )

And that nakid cruncher hasn't been moved in months.

Dual PII400 Web Server

Another shot of the Web Server

This server was down for awhile, but is back up and running, installed in a case, and is hosting these pics!

My Desk

This is an old pic, as the cable modem and router have moved downstairs, and the Cely466 has been upgraded to an AMD650@850.
But the case is still off, and there are a stack of papers on top. :Q

Workbench Workbench pic #2
