No, why would you think nordy give free repair and new soles?
Cause I got a free repair on a pair of Gordon Rush I had years ago.

hi, all ) from Portugal, here. several questions arrise regarding the wearing of the eldredge knot: first of all, why do people on this matters always bash others just because not agreeing with them? if someone likes it, wears it. if doesn't, doesn't wear it. so simple... that aside, i like the knot. u know waht it reminds me of? please forgive me, but it really reminds me of a protruding clit, specially when worn on a dark pink or red tie... lol it's true, it does... now, in my view this is one of those knots more compatible with broader ties rather than skinny one, and looks better on solid coloured ones rather than paterned or printed ones, and preferably on darker hues of solid colours. what do you think? cheers!
I've never had to resole a shoe.
And at roughly HALF the cost, I could buy a brand new pair if/when that was ever needed, and still have money left over.
I think Minneapolis is a good place for me - we are one of the best-educated, most literate cities in the United States, one of the best cycling cities in the United States, and Minnesota is consistently among the top in the US in the areas of life expectancy and quality of life. I have lived all over the US (including stints in NYC, San Francisco and the Seattle area) and chose to return here after I got out of the service, although I was licensed in California and could easily have gone there.
I hope Florida is a good fit for you - it would not be for me, but obviously we are all different. God knows I'm different from anyone who thinks this is a good look:
Came in expecting to laugh at expensive yuppie shoes; was pleasantly surprised to find YAAlkemystLookingLikeAToolThread.
As a currently practicing mechanic, I would laugh at someone using one of those tie knots. They're not laughing at you because they're lawyers or other snooty professionals, bro. They're laughing because that makes you look like an incompetent child.
I do not wear suits and rarely ever wear a tie. But I still know that there are maybe five tie knots with some level of acceptability. Windsor, half-windsor, pratt, nicky, and four in the hand. I usually use the nicky because it's about the size of a FitH, but comes out symmetrical.
The important thing about those knots is that they all show one smooth piece of fabric on the front. Not an overlapping clusterfuck of fail.
People outside of fast food careers.
Funny how the Eldridge is panned here when it gets high marks in modern men's dress.
Of course many of you run shadow to shadow in fear of the world out there.
Clarks... Comfortable and priced in the low $100s
Hopefully less than $100. That's the price from AE direct.

I guess if I were 23 and didn't know better it might be appealing, but I'm not and neither are you.
Who are you to speak about "modern men's dress"? Look at your jeans.
So far you have heard from two lawyers and an accountant, none of whom moonlight in fast food as far as I know, and we all agree those knots are ridiculous. I may not be a paragon of fashion but I wear a lot of nice stuff. Hell, I've bought two pairs of Prada black-label (i.e., not the cheaper Prada Sport) shoes in the last three months.
Lets not forget - Alkymest shops at JC Penney for his dress clothes & shoes -

I have posted in other threads I shop there much less and I haven't bought suits from them in a while and that their quality has gone down.
They are still one of the best places locally for Levis as they carry every style and color.
Today I mostly shop at Saks, Neiman Marcus and a host of other stores at this mall:

Now that I know you have a boutique shopping mall with high end merchandise in it you are now a legit fashion expert and those ridiculous knots have gone from fashion faux pas to all the rage!
I feel sorry for the youth on this board who takes any of your sage advice. It's all garbage and if they show up to a interview wearing what Alky would, they will not only not get the job but become a laughing stock of their peers.
Alkemyst,
Why you shop at the Boca mall? Got to go north to the gardens. Way better experience. I used to work next to the Boca Mall. That place is a nightmare.
Being a palm beacher Boca seems taboo. Or you can blow money on Worth Ave. Never found their stores appealing but I couldn't afford it anyway.
I brought these knots up, not to say it's time for everyone to change, but that they are becoming popular despite what the kiddies that dwell inside 24/7 here think otherwise.
Just like suicides and trucker hats.
Popular =! looks good.
