Lexmark Z12 printer $29.87 at Target B&M

Target - seems to be B&M only. Quantity limited. $29.87
1200X1200, 6ppm black, 3 color. From Lexmark site: supports 95, 98SE, ME, 2000 Server, Web TV, Apple Mac OS 8.6 or 9.X w/USB interface. PC Attached Operating Systems Supported - XP home.

Since the practically free after rebate printers seem to be no more, this one is pretty cheap. Cartridges are expensive and I don't know which ones this comes with, if any. The one at Amazon comes with both, but the ones sold at other places come only with color cartridge.

All Lexmark cartridges are on sale at Target.com and B&M for $25.87.

Thanks for the heads up on this deal just checked the target near me they have some in stock, if still there tomorrow I will pick one up. I've been wanting to go usb but could not justify the price of another printer since my little Z11 is still working fine after almost three years, but at that price it's only ten dollars more than the parallel port card I was about to buy to hook up both printer and scanner.

IMO, cold deal cuz the 10 and 20 lexmark series only include 1 ink cartridge (the color one, i think). You will have to shell out at least 30 bucks for the black one. I have gotten the z33 and z42 printers that have both cartridges for less. Check staples.com to see if they have any of these before you get this one.

Yup...the ink for these printers is expensive. We had one at work and when the ink ran out I had to debate whether to dump the printer in the garbage and buy another Z11 for $30.00 or buy a cartridge for $30.00

They are good if you want cheap black printing, and use a refill kit.

I just wouldnt want to swap the single cartridge to do color every time. Or waste color, trying to print black.

Thanks for the added advice but for as little printing as I do this will do nicely, and I do use the refill kits so far they have worked great for me and made this a very cheap proposition, I have plenty of refill ink sitting right next to the printer.
I just installed this printer and it went as smooth as silk in both windows me and xp. I downloaded new drivers but it's working so well I think I'll hold off installing them until I need to.

The one disappointment that I have here is when I checked out this printer I thought the cartridges might be interchangeable with the Z11 because they are the same size and look almost identical. Well guess what those underhanded so and so's apparently made them just different enough that neither will quite pop into place in the other printer. O well! Anyway I thought people might like to know this.:frown:
