My mom has a Lexus and wow...it's so smoothe and comfortable. My mom hates to drive fast but in the Lexus, she constantly goes 60 in the city because she doesn't even hear and feel it going fast. I prefer a smoothe ride over a fast one.

The Lexus is of course a great car, but nothing... nothing... from Japan has matched the quality, fit and finish, feel, and finesse of a German Engineered car like a BMW yet. I vote for the Bimmer, hands down.

Like what everyone said before, it really depends on what you plan to do with the car.

There are already 2 companies that manufacture superchargers for the GS300. TRD is suppose to be releasing theirs soon, but don't hold your breath.

As for suspension, sure, drop in L-Tune steering ECU, coilovers, sways, strut bars, and etc.

Saab is so awful.. bad looking cars (minus Viggen) and piss poor reliability.... my friend has had 3, all have given him problems galore, yet he still keeps going back to the trash.... i am not sure what people see in those eye sore cars...

his latest is a 99 Saab 900 turbo and he has only had it for 3 weeks. he told me it's in the shop cause it won't come out of 5th gear.. sounds really good.... :disgust:

Buy Japanese.. get a Lexus or Infiniti.. or maybe even an Acura.

Not trying to come off sounding sarcastic, but if people agree that the Lexus gives smoother ride, especially at higher speeds, and it is more reliable than the BMW, then how is is that the BMW have better quality and feel? Fit and finesse is subjective.

In terms of reliability, Lexus has BMW beat. In performance, BMW has Lexus beat. And ride enjoyment is purely subjective (based on whether you like a sportier or more comfortable ride) - I wouldn't say this in any way conclusively puts one above the other. It's all about what you value in a car.
