Back on topic though, I think they should feature an LFA in one of those "opulence, I has it" commercial.
That guy wouldn't be seen in an LFA. A Rolls Royce, yes.

Well they're both Japanese not-quite-exotics. The same ricers are nutting over both of them. I'm guessing the same rich guidos aren't going to buy either because they'd rather have a Ferrari.
The LFA also looks suspiciously similar to the GT-R. The triangular headlights make it almost like a family resemblance.
Look at the weight in comparison to it's nearest competitors such as the Murcielago, 599 GTB, Aston DBS, etc. If you thing good engineering doesn't anything appreciable to a car unless it directly affects performance, you're an idiot. The way you sit in the car, it's stance, the quality of the materials, the way it feels when you turn the wheel, those are due to solid engineering.
A poorly engineered car can still be fast (see Ultimate Aero) without having any of the qualities you want to be in a super car. You want to have great road feel, you want to have an interior that makes you feel like a race car driver (and stay comfortable), you want the car to have a solid thud when you close the doors.
Sooo....LFA buyers are poor?
Does not compute.
A Bentley Mulsanne has similar weight, hp, and performance to a Ford F250 as well. We should start comparing them. The GTR and LFA aren't aimed at the same person, Jesus, wtf don't you get about this?
I'ts funny that you guys bitch because Lexus is going to sell every single one of them.
This is the most idiotic thing I think I have ever read on a board period..
The car publications and the sports/exotic Car community all beg to differ with you.
It is exactly in the same class with the GT-R
price does not designate sports/supercar car class..
Guess you don't race SCCA or anything else do you?
these cars would be in the exact same classes on the track period. the LFA is slower by what looks to be a good margin at least 2-4 car lengths.
If you were to group it with other "elite" cars it still comes up way short in performance, technology, luxury, exclusivity when compared to the other uber exotics based on price alone..
