LG 27" monitor for $219 ???!!!

Hello, for the price how do you think this monitor would do for a gaming monitor? I'll be pushing it with 7950 HD vid card...

Don't have experience with it/can't find decent review, so a bit hard to say. It is a TN panel, so it *likely* will have low input lag/response time. Since it's a TN panel, the viewing angles won't be amazing and the colors may not be perfect.

The newegg/amazon review seem overall positive.

The 7950 will drive 1920x1080 res just fine.

Because it's 27" and 1080p resolution, the pixels will be a little large, but that's just a matter of personal preference. I game on a 32" tv @1080p and the larger pixels didn't bother me too much. Though I'm going to jump onto a Dell U2412M soon and see how I like it.

In the end, it's probably a good gaming value.

250cdm2 is dim. If you're OK with that dimness, get the Dell S2740L

LG imo is a horrible company with all their products being defective or work you dont know what you get.

2ms ,,,, I guessing is not enough for FPS ,,,,,, you need 1ms with vsync on to enjoy yourself..

Try to find another monitor rather then LG. Look I have had LG tvs die of people I know,,,, then my cousins LG 2ms 24" was defective, took it back to Fry's got another one and pretty soon its showing lines and crapola. He took that back and got the last one they had. I have plenty LG horror stories. Please stay away from them Get a Samsung or Crucial . Those are you only choices, cuz I don't want your SSD to die on you taking your data with it... ,,,,,, let LG build washer and dryers. Give me another link, unless your prepared for the LG to die and RMA or have a defect. gl

the only real way to tell what you want is to see it in person. if it looks good to you, then its a good one. i have seen 250nit monitors that seem brighter then ones rated at 300nits, so really you just have to see it yourself to know.

tn panels deliver all sorts of results. some are a lot better then others, but all of them will have weird viewing angles. it wont matter if its just a computer monitor that you sit right in front of, but if you want to use it like a tv it might matter.
