The rule is a touch grey in this case. It says "no links to auction sites" and that auctions are not considered deals.

While this links to Ebay, Ebay is hardly just an auction site now and this is a link to a product being sold without an auction by Adorama, an independent store that is absolutely allowed into Hot Deals, with many units in stock.

Seems reasonably allowable to me based on that...
