If I bought this and hooked a PC up to it. Would I get a 1080p resolution or one of those weird resolutions?
LOL. You referring to those old plasma 1024*1024 ALIAS screens with the rectangle pixles.

You will get the max resolution of what the screen is capable of or the max resolution of what you video card is capable- whichever is lower. If it's a native 1080p screen, that is what you would see. If it is a 4K TV, you will need a video card capable of 3840x2160 and over HDMI, the max refresh rate at that res is 30Hz.
We use 4K TV's as displays for 2560x1440 surveillance cameras and it is impressive...
Mr. Cathode Ray Tube would like to have a discussion with you regarding that.
Are you using them with 4K 360 or do you really run 4K fixed ?
Arent Plasma tv's outdated? not sure why they still make em after LED tv came out, Plasma TV's are not really economical and the picture quality is not comparable with LED ones, someone else also mentioned the heat they make. But LG in general is a leading brand in TV's i think...
wow, local shop has tons of these in stock..i guess because they are plasma.
Anyone who owns one of these want to give me some pro's and con's as it being used for PC games or PS4/3 games?
I picked up the 60PN5700 for $699. My closest MC in New Jersey had a ton in stock. They also had the 60PN5300 for $599. I've been playing with it a bit and am fairly impressed. Subjectively, the PQ is good especially for the price though not as good as my older but more expensive Samsung D7000 Plasma in another room. It came with that stupid motion smoothing stuff on by default which looked hilariously bad. A lot of other needless "Dynamic" settings and sharpening stuff I turned off right away. But with a little tweaking its definitely got a satisfying picture.
The LG smart TV stuff is also pretty slick. I plugged in a Keyboard and Mouse combo thing to the usb port and it picked it up right away. It lets me browse all the menus and use the fairly decent web browser using KB/M control. Just make sure to dig down into the settings menu and turn off all the tracking bs that LG was caught with a few weeks ago.
Personally, my experience with plasma has been negative. I got a 51" Samsung Plasma recently in Best Buy, after reading excellent reviews. Everyone know plasma is best for darker rooms, and that's exactly how mine is.
Now here are the negatives:
1)This thing is friggin' HEAVY!!!! Especially compared to LED LCD TVs I own.
2)I don't know what all these people are talking about when they tout plasma's excellent blacks, and colors in general as opposed to LCD. Sure picture wasn't bad at all. And colors are good, but are they better than what I am used to? I don't think so. At least I don't see it.
3)By far my biggest gripe. This thing is dim!!! Oh my god, it is sooo annoying. I constantly feel like I need to up the brightness, but it's already at max! My room is dark as hell, and this TV just isn't bright/vivid enough even in a room like this. Tried different color presets, it hardly helps. Also, the TV image feels slightly fuzzy. Some people who came over didn't notice, but there is a certain level of fuzziness and it drives me nuts. Never had this issue with LCD.
4)Gaming input lag. Not for Xbox 360 or PS3 even though it has a game mode.
5)HUGE BEZEL.
I just couldn't take it so I paid $150 more for a Vizio M501d-A2R and that thing is amazing. Plus it has 3D and smart TV functionality all in one. And it has 4 HDMI ports and 2 USB vs. 2 HDMI and 1 USB on the plasma.
