Hello, so I got an LG display and tried this super resolution function for the first time in the menu. Internet browser looked weird and choppy, but then I started a game (Pillars of Eternity) and set super resolution to High. And omg, it's just so good! I can now clearly see every little movement of character animations and texture borders are so well pronounced, textures themselves are improved (less blurry). It's like sharpen and upscaling in one. Except there are white dots on some 'rounded' textures (like, a helmet) not sure why. Also in Thief Dark Project it was even more amazing. I look at some things like a distant wall or a pile of coins nearby and without super resolution they appeared blurred out compared to how well pronounced and clearly visible they look with super resolution.
The question is - is this some kind of a miracle function? Or is something wrong otherwise with my PC that some textures look more blurry than they should? How does the super resolution technology work? How do I make the 'white dots' disappear? The white dots look exactly like the artifacts of sharpen effect in movies, for example.
