I took a couple on the drive home from walking the big guy. You can definitely see that the widescreen lens distorts the image, however it captures so much more if you're not expecting DSLR results from a phone. One feature the S8 is definitely lacking that other phones have is the second lens. Sorry about the dirty vehicle we have a small SUV dedicated exclusively to hauling animals.

As a pro photographer I can appreciate the negatives of distortion. But in certain situations and if used right an ultra wide shot can be anywhere from useful to spectacular

Urf. The Bluetooth issue is back and with a vengeance. It's gotta be the phone. Gonna test some more tomorrow with other devices (my truck, two speakers).

I agree, which is why it's one of my favorite features of the phone. The LG was the only camera I carried when we climbed Kili as I didn't want to lug my other camera up. The 120 degree lens got some great shots that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise even with my 4/3s. Like this sunrise from Kili looking over Mawenzi:

Great shot dude. Nice to see another 4/3 shooter. I've been on the micro 4/3 system since 4-5 years ago - with the Olympus OMD setup. Don't miss my DSLR kit at all. I am often shooting at wide angle focal lengths for Real Estate photography. What's your setup?

Can't beat wide angle for landscapes either, or in tight indoor situations. It's definitely not a gimmick.

Well it's been nearly a month more with the V20 and it's providing satisfaction. The second screen has proved to be useful more than enough. The camera has been great. The audio is still as great as I mentioned. Overall the phone runs fast with some hiccups here and there. So did my 6P though.

My gf just got a G6 a week ago and that phone is also quite nice. I like its form factor a bit better than the V20 but miss the 2nd screen and would want the removable battery. I think the screen is a little better on the G6 though. Supposedly the camera is a touch better as well, just haven't tested that yet, but read it online.

I did read the V20 is also being included in the lawsuit about the bootlooping issue. I hadn't heard it was an issue with the V20 but perhaps I missed it. We shall see how it goes.

was looking at this phone as an upgrade to my G4 but I think I'm leaning toward the G6 instead... however I may just hold onto the G4 for a couple more years. i like being able to hot swap batteries now that they are so cheap.

My mom's V20 after a factory reset and swapping to a newer, faster uSD card is still stuttering with Bluetooth. It's to all BT devices though, not just her car stereo though. I am trying to talk her into an insurance replacement (not warranty, because she dropped the damned thing).

Been overseas the last 5 days and have another 9 to go. My LG V20 is not unlocked so I've been using my unlocked Nexus 6P with a prepaid sim here. I still have the V20 with me to use on Wifi, which is often. Obviously I prefer the V20. Using the 6P just makes me miss the V20. The 6P screen does pop more indoors with more vivid saturated colors but I like the steady as you go V20 screen. Outdoors in bright sunlight the V20 wins. The 6P whites look yellow in comparison and the whole screen is overall duller. Obviously the V20 is a newer phone so it should be better in most regards, but I was surprised by how much.

No.

His DAC has never worked well, per many posts he has left on various forums. Too bad since mine works perfectly. Never had any BT issues either. Glad I got this phone and have the ability to swap out the battery. IR blaster comes in handy also.
