I am going to switch to verizon when the -50 AR phones have built im Mp3 players as I'm paying month to month now and my contract is over
I got my LG 8100 for free after $200 MIR and a one-year contract with Verizon (purchased on 8/25 from Amazon). It's got built in MP3, 1.3MP camera, miniSD, Bluetooth, etc. just like kof said...Originally posted by: frankqfrank

Of course, the phone was free, but I then spent $80 on a wired stereo hands-free, 512MB miniSD, and a USB memory card reader. I still need to pick up a USB to Bluetooth adaptor, but I want to see how it goes with just the card reader and miniSD first.
I'm coming off a Sanyo 8200 and Sprint contract, and I'm a lot happier with this LG phone. The only problem I've had so far is that the earpiece seems not to be loud enough. I'm still trying to figure out if it's the phone or the other callers.
The phone I got from Amazon doesn't have the version 4 update. I need to go into a Verizon Store to get it. I wasn't aware that it might have some affect on the volume (I thought it was just for the MP3 player), but I'll go to get the update and see what happens.Originally posted by: laketrout
Did you get the latest upgrade, I think version 4 or something? That might help out with your volume problem. And free is nice man, good steal.Originally posted by: Rumpltzer

My problem with the 6100 is that certain calls are really low volume, otherwise, the phone is fine. but the VX8100 is like a killer phone in comparison.
