Hi all, my first post here after many months of browsing.

Simple question for all you V1000 owners out there.

I currently have a Antec Neopower 480 PSU and am wanting to upgrade my case to the V1000.

Question is, will it fit in the V1000, I realise the V1200 is a deeper case and apparently has a lot more room for the CPU....... but, I'm in Australia, and so far the Aussie distributor has not brought them in to the country, just the V1000's

Anyone out there managed to fit one in ?

Would LOVE to hear from you, I really don't want to have to replace the Antec, only had it 3 weeks

Cheers all

I'd say that it would fit. Especially if the case if bigger than the present one. Most psu's are stock and mount to stock holes in cases or come with a bracket. Most 500w psu are compatible so you will prolly be ok.

I have a Fortron 530 and it fits fine. Not sure how they compare. I think I recall someone on or OCforums.com saying they got it to fit.

What worries me with the Neopower is that all the cables plug into plugs on the back, which stick out a bit, making it a bit longer than standard, seeing you can't bend the wires as soon as they leave the PSU.

That raises a good point. I too am interested if the Neopower has any problems fitting in a V1000 case. I know the OCZ power supplies do not becasue they are 25ish mm longer than normal psu.

If it fits, it will probably just barely fit.

I'll be happy with barely

I dont care if it's so tight the only way I can get it in is by using the mounting screws to push it in, as long as it fits

You can always reove the middle divide. It's held in with rivets. Not sure if this would work or not, but I guess it's an option. I'm not too sure if it's held in there with something else other than the rivets.

I have the V1000, and a OCZ Powerstream 520. The OCZ sticks out the back a bit, bit its not bad. Small price to pay for a great , and quiet PSU.
