well this debate will never end I suppose. It's very hard to argue with people like Rob, who are so indoctrinated into Bush's lies that they cannot see the truth lying in front of them.
If our goal is to defeat terrorism on a global level, do you really think we are going about it the right way? Is starting a war under false pretenses in the Middle East the best way to achieve peace? Think about what we are doing. This war is only creating more enemies for the US, and it is only breeding more terrorists. Instead of approaching this situation cautiously, with careful planning, we went in recklessly. The prisoner abuse scandal SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED, had we planned this like we should have. It seems as if we are doing everything in our power to screw things up in a very tense and heightened place. That is why I think we need a change in leadership.
I truly WANT to fight this global war on terrorism, and I think all Democrats share the same feeling, but we realize there is a much better way of going about it. It is going to take global unity and action from many countries around the world to truly fight this problem. After all, what the hell is going to stop some lunatic extremist from strapping 50 lbs worth of explosives to himself and detonating in the middle of Times Square, or a subway station, or any crowded place for that matter. There is NO amount of defense or security that we can have that would ever truly stop such terrorists attacks. If we go this alone, we will continue to lose the battle.......
