actually he did not. the media is trying to spin it that way though. He said trump is terrible and you should not vote for him. I am certain he would rather you vote for johnson/weld than Hill.

Depends on how you interpret the following line:
This is not the time to cast a jocular or feel-good vote for a man whom you may have briefly found entertaining.
If that refers to Johnson, which I think it does, then it is perfectly logical to conclude that he is recommending everyone vote for Hillary.

I guess Bill Weld is getting his wish because I can't think of any Libertarian who would vote for Trump. I can't think of any Libertarian who would vote for Clinton either but I suppose you might have gotten some 'sorta kinda' squishy folks who are Democrat leaners anyway who might get coaxed back. I'd say for the average "true" libertarian that Clinton is above Trump but they'd still be our last two choices of the four most plausible candidates (Johnson, Stein, Clinton, Trump).

it refers to trump... that's what hes talking about... omg people. I seem to have missed the class where they teach you to interject what you think people say into what they really say.

So you think people found Trump "briefly entertaining"? Trumps supporters are die-hard. You think his supporters consider trump to be jocular?

It's seems pretty clear to me the only person treating the race in a jocular manner is Johnson:

Weld did already admit last month that Clinton was the most qualified candidate:

http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/30/politics/bill-weld-hillary-clinton-qualified/

I disagree with that. While she is clearly more qualified than Trump, Clinton's 1+ term in the Senate and 4 years as SoS makes her about equally qualified as Johnson or Weld and their business backgrounds and two terms each as governor. It really just comes down to personal preference whether you prefer legislative/cabinet experience on one hand, or executive experience on the other.

it means Hillary is better then trump... to libertarians.

Q: Would you rather be kicked in the head or the balls?
A: I'm certainly not going to agree to get kicked in the head.
Q: Aha! That means kicked in the balls is better to libertarians.

Only foolish partisans would get excited out of "well both candidates are completely unacceptable, but A is a slightly better degree of unaccceptable!

Most of us think she is way better not just slightly better. Nice try though.

Note that you're disagreeing with your own VP candidate though

I'm not excited by any of the candidates To me Clinton seems like the one who will do the least damage and possibly a small amount of good.

Seriously people used to leave the Governors mansion and get stopped by the cops, they were playing cards with the Governor until early in the morning. This happened more than once.
