Limited regulation by the government, both in our personal lives and in our economy...

I think fully believing in evolution and putting faith in the actions of individuals is quite different...people can evolve to be stupid

Libertarianism (as in the LP Party) is no more synonymous with Anarchism than Liberalism is with Socialism or Conservatism is with a Dictatorship. It's merely a philosophy than focuses on a minimalistic influence by a central Government in the day-to-day lives and affairs of its citizens.

Anarchy advocates zero central government. Libertarianism advocates central government that is as minimal as possible. There is a significant difference.

i think the funny thing is that liberals and conservatives have more in common with libertarians than they do with the opposing view (i.e. conservatives sympathize more with libertarians than they do with liberals and liberals sympathize more with libertarians than they do with conservatives)

Sorry, I don't understand what you are trying to say. How can other countries have Libertarians when the United States has the only Libertarian presence? And what part of the Libertarian ideal leads you to believe it is a party of anarchists. I have found nothing that would lead to that conclusion. By the way, doesn't this belong in P&N?

I don't know where people get this idea that libertarianism = anarchy. It's not like that at all. Just because we want minimal goverment does not mean we want no government at all.

I also consider myself libertarian but I do not advocate anarchy!! Nor does the entire libertarian party platform!
