"No fly-zone" is just a euphemism for invasion. Much more than just air defenses will be bombed. Things can easy turn ugly and the ground forces will step in too.

I wonder why the chinese don't want to get involved at all. they would get to try out their naval/air tech without putting troops on the ground, the gratitude of the rebels, and access to a shitload of quality oil and gas. they've probably already got favor with the khadaffi gov't, maybe even more siding with the rebels.

I agree with above this is what UN was made for. Get in there and do this. Honestly it makes me think much higher of the world that it's willing to do this when there isn't obviously money or other bullsh*t on the line.

No-fly zone is a euphemism for Gaddafi will either stop bombing them from the air or we will destroy every radar and airplane he has. In the Iraq war this took all of 2 or 3 days.
