Life dilemma looming...

Regardless, my girlfriend is moving in September so we'll be parting ways, and that hurts.

That just blows... So she just up and decided that she was going to just leave you without making any attempt whatsoever to make things work together? So is she even affected by this move at all, and does she care about what happens to you?

Why wait until September to kick her out?

Sounds like you have some tough decisions. I made a similar decision a few years back when I decided to move from California to Anchorage, AK. I really wanted out of California, and an opportunity presented itself. I was getting offered a job, and I had just a few days to decide, then a couple weeks to figure out where I'd live and some travel time. Other than my job contact, I had no family or friends up here.

One of the big things I had to consider was an "escape" plan. You know, if things didn't work out what would I do? I did get my friends and family involved so I had a safety net in place. Luckily, everything is working out great, and I currently love it up here. One of the best decisions I've made in life.

I say go for it. I have some friends in Denver who really love the place. With all the things going on in your life, it sounds like you need a change.

Amazing how nothing ever works out how you think.

I ended up getting another position in this same office, and so did my girlfriend. She wants to stay with me and is willing to stay here. I never thought I'd be staying here, especially not with her, especially not in the same office, and especially not in this position. Crazy.

At least I have a job.
