I wouldn't call it "hilarious," but it wouldn't be difficult to explain it... they'll just say he died and appoint a new VP. Sad though, he was one of my favorite characters.

Doesn't Alan Alda already have stage comittments for next year that would confilct with taping of a weekly series on Network TV?

Alan Alda stated that they haven't filmed any final episodes of the season yet and that he doesn't know yet who is going to win. Honestly though, I don't know who they could select to replace Leo. I always thought he would make a much better President than Matt Santos. Anyways, I thought he was one of the best actors on the show and my favorite character. He will be missed.
