Might seeem weird, but since here CDs are all the rage, & they are replacing floopys really fast, I wanna know how much your normal CD-RW media lives before dying, as I have used Moser Baer & Samsung CD-RW Media they have a weird problem, after about 2 or 3 months of usage, which includes burning via both Windows XP inbuilt burner for small files to RW Media & Nero for bigger files to RW Media, they both gives the notice that the Media cannot be used anymore, nero gives error that "cannot fix data" or "data fixation error", do the Media in US Or EU also dies like this or it's just the quality of media in India is bad???

yes..a lot of the newer blanks on the market use a short-term strategy dye..also faster burn speeds seem to have the effect of not leaving a more indelible impression on said dye..

I have been using a 10-pack of Office Depot 4X CD-RWs since September '02 and have lost only one. Slow, for sure, but the burner I was using at the office was only able to record them at 4X anyway.....

I haven't had this problem, but I don't store things on my CD-RWs, so who knows. As far as I'm concerned, USB flash drives are a much better option, and they're big enough to hold loads now, if not, CD-Rs are cheap, as DannyBoy said

Ditto what buleyb said. I have never used any of my CD-RW disks - too much fuss and feathers and not efficient.
