Unfortunately no, as far as I can see, if you go into the screensaver settings and clear the map display, it says you should create at least one display mode. You could try the command line version and just blank the screen ?

If I remember right...You can turn the screen off and still cunch. All the saver part does display what the processor is doing.

Honestly we are really far behind the other team in this project. I'd just like to invite people to try it out and maybe some people will like it. Personally I like to try everything just so I know whats out there.

Here is a good stats page for individual team member stats.

SlangNRox....How often does that stats page update?Any idea? Thanx

It is starting to get lonely being the only person on this project. It would be nice to have someone throw at least computer onto this project to keep me company. I am managing to keep us at around the #9 team in daily production with just a p3 1ghz and a p3 3.2ghz.

Adding a Applebred Duron 1800, Athlon 1600, and Thunderbird 800 this weekend.

Nice amdxborg! Welcome to our small little team. It's us four active crunchers vs. the world. Does your installer make lifemapper cli into a xp service? I dl the proram but haven't had a chance to test it yet. I've been using firedeamon as a wrapper to run the cli as a service in xp. I know there so be an easy way to make it run as a service with a few registry changes but haven't had a chances to write up a batch file.

I'm downloading Lifemapper at the minute. Currently crunching D2OL, but might dedicate a bit of time to this if it works well enough. Will see how it all goes. Looks good though.

I started running this now, it seems that it works quite well with D2OL, they each get about 50% of the processor. Havent tried gaming or anything with both running though.

Thanks MSIuser. Welcome to the team! I just started lifemapper about 2-3 weeks ago myself. I finally hit my goal in seti and wanted to try something else since its seems seti 1 will never end anytime soon. It a small project at the moment so each member will make a big difference on the team.

I also have D2OL loaded as my backup project when the lifemapper server have problems collecting data. I believe lifemapper just upgraded to a RAID array on their server recently to help in collecting the data quicker. Post or pm me if you need help setting up the client. You should be able to move up the rankings rather quickly.

I'm keeping the machines I got on D2OL on them at the minute, but once I reach 1000 on D2OL, I may consider moving to this project as I feel I may have a chance of getting up the rankings since there aren't many members, I don't know though, I like the D2OL project. Will have to think about it.

How do you monitor the progress of the service? I installed it there now and i'm just wondering how I can monitor it?

^^^

I don't know how to monitor progress, except for maybe redirecting output to a log file by adding to the command line used to start it "> nameoflogfile.log"

that's what I do under linux, never used firedaemon, or whatever it's called
