Well it looks like they may have pulled the plug everyone. No LM webpage, no Pipeline webpage and no work units going out or coming in.

If that's the case I am going to find a new project.

On another note I received a very nice message from Condor_fdc and had decided befor the LM server went down to make every attepmt to end this project as a tie for second place. I have gone so far as to PM him on the Freedc forum and let him know this.

Here is his message to me.

"At first I took the posts at Anandtech as a challenge. Now, I have had second thoughts about running a project that all the useful work has probably been done already. At some point in the next 24 hours I will be moving boxes back to other more active projects from which they came.

Second place will be all yours ? as it is likely you would have passed me anyhow. No strings attached nor asterisks of any kind in my mind. I feel that both of our contributions have been significant and hopefully very useful to the project itself.

Now with LM ending, I hope that you continue and find another project that meets your needs.

Adam (Condor)"

I figured instead of taking 2nd place it would be way better just to end it in a tie but it appears to me that LM may very well be over right now, so my suggestion to everyone who is crunching for me is to move on to another project as I will be doing.

I would also like to thank everyone who has taken the time to move their machine over to LM to crunch in my name, that shows what a great team we have here.

Thanks again everyone. Now what project to move on too, I'm thinking about trying FAD.

Silverthorne.

I'm glad to see it worked out nicely. I'll gladly switch to another project now...it's just a matter of what I'm all SETI'd and D2OL'd out...

Well finished guys!

In a few weeks, I'll be pulling *some* of my herd from the CPDN project and moving them into the TeAm's FaD pasture along with my quad xeon now running it.

I have already switched all my comps over to FAD. I'll help out here for a bit I guess and see if I like it. I must say it was a very easy install and an even easier network install.

I just installed the screensaver to run on my Mom's computer and ntoiced that the windows program support was ending Jan 2005. Oh well... Are there any other projects that run as a screensaver and are good for a P4? I know the old SETI program worked as a screensaver, but the screen saver was a lot slower than the CLI.
