Yup - the glass has lead in it, and it's very thick glass too. You can't skimp there, otherwise you risk implosion (the picture tube has a vacuum inside) or radiation emission.
The power supply circuitry weighs a few pounds too, and that can't really be reduced either, or else you risk overheating/burning traces, or else lousy power that'll kill components.
Best way to get a lighter CRT is to start working out more.
