Yeah, remember all the garbage about how when the rainforests were cut down we'd run out of oxygen... then they found out that 95% of the world's oxygen is produced by the ocean in kelp beds. The environmentalists have been strangely silent about those findings the last 6 months.
Truth is, it's almost impossible to verify or discredit findings when dealing with situations like Iran-Contra, Whitewater, Filegate, etc. People in high office know how to cover their tracks too well, and there's always plenty of people trying to tear down "the establishment" at whatever the cost (via lying, distortion, etc)... these groups often cancel each other out and the public almost never finds out the real truth.
