tcwo.com

neweggs outta stock now, but tcwo has the 32mb ddr LE for the same price that newegg had theirs. only crappy thing is that newegg gave free shipping on it, tcwo doesnt. they still offer that flat 6.95 shipping though which is pretty cool if yorue ordering stuff from em anyways.

oops, didnt realize this card at tcwo was mentioned in the newegg refurb thread by bockchow. it deserves a new thread anyways since the other one says dead

YMMV, but I ordered this last week and, based on the pictures on the anandtech article on the LE, ia ctually got a Radeon DDR. It had a fan instead of the heatsink and it had the ATI graphics logo on it rather than the logo minus the ATI symbol. Installed it last night and works like a champ. Shipping was quick. I would recommend this to anyone.

I bought a radeon le in november and about a month ago. Both advertised as le, when I got them they are actually full fledged radeon ddr with hyperz and 166mhz...from newegg...

oh yeah, one has a fan, the other does not...

I ordered this from tcwo last week and i got it in a few days. Gave me a roll of Lifesavers also

Anyway, it's the LE version, w/o fan. But it's extremely easy to enable HyperZ by installing Radeon tweak softwares (or by editing the registry). I've installed it and overclocked it to 216/216! This thing is fast!!!

Hot deal!

If the card comes with a fan, and has an ATI logo, that means it is a regular Radeon DDR? I tried one with a fan, and the default core/mem speed was 153 Hz instead of 166 or 183. Why is that?

And how would you check if hyperZ is enabled in Windows XP?

<< just ordered one thanks, hoping for the retail ddr version as well. >>

These are not retail versions, they are regular (non LE) OEM versions. Some of the OEMs are 153MHz and some are 166MHz. I ordered the regular OEM version back when Newegg started carrying them versus the LE version. Mine was clocked at 153MHz. Some peeps got the 166MHz. I used PowerStrip to bump it up to 183MHz which is the retail speed.
