Wow this is awesome! Its basically the same thing as the house with the Trans Siberian Orchestra music 2 years ago that's also on the Budweiser commercials.

80,000 lights, 110,000ft of wire, and 35,000 watts. Wonder what their electric bill is.

Live Streaming Webcam
The live cam is only available at nights when the show is actually running.

I was unable to find any good youtube vids on this, except ones from previous years.

http://lindsaylights.com for more info on this display, as well as all the technical goodness on how this thing works.

Not sure if this is a repost btw...

Interesting, it's in Toronto. I'm not Christmassy enough to actually venture up there though.

I wonder if they had to work out an agreement with their neighbors as to when they can have those lights on.

For what it's worth, there are dozens if not hundreds of places online. Look for the Light-O-Rama site. They make the controllers that are most popular for such shows. I believe Lindsay's house was posted here last year and the year before.

Light-O-Rama is very popular, as is D-Light and http://animatedlighting.mywowbb.com/. Unless they've made a massive hardware change in the last year or so, and IIRC, Lindsay Lights uses home grown controllers, rather than off the shelf.

I also don't know about the Lindsay brothers neighbors, but it seems that many neighbors enjoy having a light display nearby, and more and more are wanting to join in. I think that my friend Rob LaRe's display, PicTown Lights , is up to 15 houses on 1 street. Marty Slack, of Christmas Utah, has neighbors that generally cooperate and are appreciative, from what I've heard. The list goes on and on. And then there are, of course, those neighbors that detest Christmas light displays... I don't feel like getting into that crap.

http://www.planetchristmas.com is an excellent website for those of you who are interested in the "Christmas Light Enthusiast" community.

http://www.constantlychristmas.com is another, though we focus more on technical details, how-tos, and etc., and are more of a close knit family than is the PlanetChristmas forums community. The ConstantlyChristmas usergroup could be considered a select subset of PlanetChristmas users. CC requires a full real name and location to be provided in order for your membership to be approved.

There are other forums out there, but the above are probably the most well known and active within the Christmas Lighting Enthusiasts community.

The neighbors are irrelevant. It is not their property, hopefully there is not a damn thing they can do about it if they did care.

I think the main disturbance to the neighbors would be the increased traffic, followed by the flashing lights from the house. The audio is actually broadcast via fm transmitter so the cars can hear it on their own radios, which I thought was pretty cool.
