I'm hoping someone here can answer my questions. I am trying to set up Link Aggregation for a couple of my client's servers. They both have dual onboad Broadcom NetXtreme gigabit connections and one also has a two-port Intel PRO/1000 PT gigabit card.
I want to set up three instances of LA, one for each pair of ports including the two Intel ports. The ports are all connected to a managed Dell PowerConnect 2716 gigabit switch. I have set up Link Aggregation through the adapter utilites and settings for each box, but when I go to Task Manager the link speeds for the adapter Teams shows "1Gbps"
Also, the Intel card can set both ports to "Active" in the team, but the Broadcom utility only shows one port of each team as "Active." Am I setting something wrong? I have set up Link Aggregation Port Groups on the PowerConnect as well. I get network connectivity but I am not sure how to test to see that I am getting 2Gbps bandwidth.
Can anyone help me out on this? Thanks in advance!
