I agree. 80s/90s rock and metal were full of them. I like a new sound.

It's not a new sound though, it's just a watered down version of riffs of yesteryear, it's just really detuned to sound heavier.. all power chords. There is very little involved in making these songs.. I meant what I said, you can tune a guitar to C# and just crank out power riffs with no thought at all.

I'm not telling you not to listen to it, I just gave my opinion on the subject. Music is subjective

Linkin Park is the best in their genre. If you don't like the genre, fine - different strokes for different folks. Some of the criticisms directed at the band are true - repetitive being one of them. But it's still good stuff to listen to. Collision Course with Jay-Z was very good.

their sound would be a lot better if it weren't mixed so cramped-like. it's not easy to listen to.

I was all excited until the youtube link was posted. How come by about the 3rd/4th album most heavy/metal/numetal bands go all soft and think they should try and make something that's doesn't rock. Punk bands do it to. All of the sudden the music that made the popular is to "boring" for them to do again. Or they try and go political. Stupid ass bands. I hope any band that pulls this sh!t blows all their money on drugs and in a couple years they are broke has-beens.

Finally a new album from lp, before mike shinoda's cd came out they said that they'd release something in 2006. It came and it went and i was wtf where is it.

also, gwen stefani doesn't fit with any of those bands... neither does helen stellar for that matter.

Yeah, they really pushed this album off forever. It's been "almost ready" for a year or more.
