Linkin Park - Minutes To Midnight

They aren't my favorite band or anything, but I'm still looking forward to their new album.

also, gwen stefani doesn't fit with any of those bands... neither does helen stellar for that matter.

Anyways, I'll be checkin out LP's next CD maybe a few months after its out... I always liked LP's stuff eventually but nearly all except a few songs took a lot of time to grow on me.

I find that musical styles that I don't like all sound the same to me and it seems like I could easily make songs that are just as good, even though I know that I really couldn't. Since I don't like a certain style, I can't tell the difference between good and bad music of that style, and don't appreciate the great artists of that style. I can appreciate the skill of a musician (for example playing a really difficult guitar solo) but that's totally different from composing a song. I don't think that good music has to be complex and difficult to play, so knocking Linkin Park for not having any complex guitar solos is just stupid IMO.

There are a million bands trying to be the next Linkin Park, but most of them don't sound nearly as good to me (Three Days Grace is awsome though!).

Well this track is pretty meh; It's pretty pop-py and there's no Shinoda. I'm still picking up the album the day it comes out though.

Well, isn't that what most people do...offer their opinion on subjects in the hopes that their view will influence others? Hell, I know if I could get as many people to listen to me as Linkin Park has fans, I'd definitely take advantage of it. Just because they're celebrities doesn't make their opinion any less important than yours, mine, or anyone else's. Less-informed, possibly, but no less important.

I edit my first post. it is the font for Linkin Park and not Minutes to Midnight that looks weird.
