Links problems

I'm having a problem with links to the forums.

For example, when I use this bookmark, I end up at the main forum page.

And I tried to post this link on the Ars forum, it works from my bookmarks, but not when I click on it over there. Just sends me to the forum main page.

Am I missing something, like my brain? Thanks

It's like this [L:="what you want shown"]"The link you want"[/L]
without the : after the L

Your first URL does seemt to result in being brought the the main forum page, perhaps the thread has been archived or deleted? The 2nd one seems to go to an actual thread though http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=29&threadid=224880.
