I installed a wireless network in an office. Everything was working fine and then the DSL installer came in. He was testing a line 2 ft from the router and all of a sudden all the printers- 5- all started printing jibberish and ran through a ream of paper. I had to restart the computers in order ot clear out the printing jobs. Thought- oh well- its becuase he has a couple of cell phones and the electrical equipment all right next to the router. He left and all was fine. Over the next week though- it has happened 3 times more. The network is a 98-XP setup and only one printer is shared throughout the network. Each station has the default printer setup as their own. Then a link to the color laser printer is there- but not setup as default. I do not have wep on right now (walk before run). Is this just interference with the signal? Its a 2.4 gig router. Everything works fine- DSL, internetwork, etc.... Just every so often all the printers light up and run through a ream of paper simultaneously printing jibberish. Seemed like something out of a horror movie first time it happened. Was kinda wierd. Any ideas?
