I have a linksys wireless router model BEFW11S4 and have been using it just fine for a while now. The network is not encrypted and therefor anyone could possibly log on with out my knowledge.
So at this point i was thinking i should enable WEP so the network would be a bit moresecure from outsiders logging on. Well, the 2 comps that are hooked up with eathernet cables can still log on to the internet, but my laptop downstairs cannot. It keeps saying the network is sucure and needs me to enter the WEP encryption key.
I have this WEP key written down after i had generated it, but now im stumped as to WHERE in XP pro, i go to insert this WEP key on the laptop. Ive looked everywhere but cant find where to insert thekey to allow access to my now encrypted network?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
/cheers!
