Anyway, Tom's Hardware had a review of Power Supplies lately and the Fortron came up in the top 3 as the one with most features and providing the amount of power it's being rated at - if not more.
I have the 300w version and the 5v and 3.3v rail pumps out 200w, it's also pretty quiet and has built-in overload circuit protection. Not bad for a $27 piece of hardware.
I am confused. That article says that the 12v rail is used for powering the CPU. Unless I have been misinformed by everyone on the planet, that is not true. they loose all credibility at that for not knowing that the CPU pulls from the 3.3 and 5v lines. Hell, there is only 1 12v wire on the ATX connector.
If they do not even know that, how am I going to trust them to not screw up the testing of anything, let alone a PWS?
