If he didn't that's pretty much useless. I like the one they did with unraid since I'm currently using unraid and a lot of htpc users probably do and could use it to create a storage and gaming server. That is actually very impressive. I didn't hear him say what virtualization tech they are using tho.

I don't understand why people dislike Linus videos. He is always original, entertaining and his view counts and thumbs up speak for themselves.
Overall I think he's doing a good thing, I just tend to find he doesn't always have his facts right. I can't think of specific examples right now but the few of his that I've seen some of his conclusions just don't sit right due to not having all the facts. I expect most people who really know their stuff will see this too but I guess he's not aiming at people like us really.
Everyone is human and makes mistakes at some point.
You had my Xen guide, but its outdated, and Arch Linux centric, and must reupload it AGAIN.Do they have an unraid setup guide for how they're doing this?
Because this is what I had planned to do with my unraid build. Use my old gpus to power other gaming rigs. I wonder how he set it up
I dislike Linus, I just see him as a glorified unboxer with deep wallets to showcase ultra high end stuff but no proper technical knowledge, is like if he came straight from a marketing mold. What he did previously which I found interesing, is THIS...
...which was based on the same Software infrastructure that this Thread that no one noticed was about. Yes, when it is showcase with enough parallel Hardware, everyone screams OMG. Its a world of possibilities.
FYI when he did the 2 gamers 1 cpu build that was posted and talked about just like this is being talked about....I dislike Linus, I just see him as a glorified unboxer with deep wallets to showcase ultra high end stuff but no proper technical knowledge, is like if he came straight from a marketing mold. I love unraid 6. I haven't even used the virtualization yes but I want to use it to replace my home Downloader server as well as my pc hooked up to my main TV. It's very very exciting to add it to unraid. So Zir Blazer, how do you feel about unRAID 6?
It is supposed to be a more consumer friendly way of setting up Virtualization.
P.S. I've been planning my first build using that with FM2+ for quite some time. (Hoping to get it done this month, but I haven't even started yet....other than having the parts in boxes)

I'm very very happy that I used unraid and not some other makeshift solution.
It's also why I'm excited about zen. Cheap cores means these builds that Linus has shown are a lot more affordable. Right now, getting 12 cores isn't cheap from Intel.
Yup I have those same concerns. Hence why I use the syba because I know it works and why I went Intel. For a new hardware Zen should be really nice though I am concerned about the compatibility of the AM4 ASMedia I/O hub and Linux.
See below for examples of what I am talking about:
http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Hardware_Compatibility#PCI_SATA_Controllers
In contrast, A88X with SYBA SI-PEX40064 gets me to twelve drives with known compatibility, but then I only have four cores/four threads.
Lets just hope that 7 players don't all attempt to play the next Crysis 3 level 'Welcome to the Jungle' all at once.
Why? Each VM gets 4 cores and 4 HTs. Should be enough, right?
