I am planning to buy a laptop and run linux on it. This is primarly for schoolwork (I am a comp sci major, and we program in Solaris machines). I recently found an online company that sells linux laptops - www.tuxtops.com. They sell really nice laptops with linux preinstalled. I am thinking of getting a Topaz 8400 with Debian 2.2 preinstalled on it.
Has anyone ever heard of tuxtops? Are they reliable? I need a decent laptop that will act as a programming/word processing/research/internet browsing/email/reference box. Yes, I need network capabilities as my campus has a really good network which I would like to be able to take advantage of.
thanks...
