I had problems installing Mandrake SNF. After setting up my HD partitions with DiskDrake, it would fail with the following:
"Missing Back packages" or something very close to that, can't remember verbatim. I also had to use a boot disk to get the install started as it would fail when detecting or attempting to mount my HD. Something like "mount failes: invalid argument" "this should not happen, I will attempt to restart your machine." Whatever that means. So I used a install boot disk and got passed the first problem, but the second seems to keep hampering my advancement. Any thoughts on what that means? I thought I might have a "bad burn" meaning the CD disdn't copy good or something. Does SNF have to be installed on a previously installed version of Mandrake or can it act and function completely on its own?
