Mad Max. It's mostly just car camera shots with the occasional rape. Couldn't finish it.

Dang boy! Not even watched it all the way through in glorious Blu-ray or HD-DVD? Remember it was made in 1979 on a shoestring budget if you ever pass that way again.

And I liked it, although it was not great, it captured the 1979 + postapocalyptic era pretty dang well, considering it was an Australian flick and kind of helped kick start their film making business.

Eyes Wide Shut

Why does this one always seem to rub people with masks on the wrong way? It's too bad we didn't have Kubrick to hang around longer and defend this movie after he died, oh wait, he died making it, so there is that.

I generally like Kubrick movies and there is still a lot to like here, but there is something that just don't mesh real well about it. It seems a bit incoherent and cobbled together at times, even more so than most Kubrick films usually are. And it was a bit preachy and LONG, maybe way too long for most audiences to sit through.

A Serbian Film was pretty bad... though not as bad as some of the beheading videos that make the rounds on the internet.

Naked Lunch - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102511/
Sounds oddly familiar. I may have seen part of this before on TV somewhere. The top reviewers post there is just plain awesome, lol. Sounds odd enough that I may have to subject myself to it and watch it sometime.

Here's a review from the second page:

I don't know what people were smoking when they called this film a misunderstood classic, but I'm assuming it wasn't anything legal. Holy pickle, this is by far one of the most aggravating and annoying films ever made. People who don't "understand" (i.e. like) it usually get that typical speech from people who think they do: "Well, you just don't understand it, it's a brilliant criticism of the writing process." If you want a good criticism of the writing process rent "Adaptation." This movie is just weird for weird's sake and I can't remember the last time a man having sex with his dead wife while being raped from behind by a typewriter with buttocks and a tail was considered a clever statement on the writing process, but maybe I just haven't shot up with enough heroin in my lifetime to "get it." But to be frankly honest I'd rather be raped by a buttock-laden typewriter than have to be forced into "understanding" this repulsive piece of garbage.

Twin Dragons - Someone who is playing his twin for hilarious effects has never been done before. I will not subject myself to this. Thanks for the warning.

It's my duty. Thing is, that's the smallest of its flaws. Think of other attributes of a move - THOSE are the problem. But leading the flaws is worst edited move I've seen.

Uwe Boll movies - Can be sort of a hit or a VERY BIG MISS. And anything with him and Christian Slater in it most likely won't end well, such as Alone in the Dark.

Feel free to introduce me to a hit.

I really tried to like this movie, and hey, Kevin Smith made it, right?

Even though I cant stand 30 Rock because of the unfunny loud mouth Tracy Morgan (even way before his stand up "comedy" homo tirades became publicized) and it also had Bruce Willis in it to temper Tracy's loud mouth antics down to size. Yet I didn't feel any acting chemistry going on there at all, and I felt Bruce just couldn't wait for it all to be over so he could cash his paycheck and forget all about it making it.

Stay from The Godfather, Good Fellas and Scar Face. 3 of the most absolutely horrible, boring, terrible acting, lousy plot movies of all time!

I thought they were all good crime movies when they came out considering the years they were made in. And I can appreciate the fact that many younger modern movie goers would find them a bit hard to comprehend and digest now, considering the current crop of mostly action slop that passes for crime movies now.

Dont sugar coat it. Anyone who dislikes those movies needs to get whacked.....

I mean wtf. If you cant appreciate the cinematography or the acting then you dont understand movies and should go back to dora the explorer....

Thought of some more:

Feast 2 and 3 were HORRIBLE. The 1st one is classic.

Human Centipede 2 was horrible..I mean..the first was..different..but I wouldn't call it bad...but 2 was...horrible.

Someone mentioned Teeth? That movie is great!

Feast was better than 2 and 3, but not by a wide margin. A movie like this I watch with really low expectations, so if it's even mildly entertaining, it gets a pass. And the monster glory hole scene in the video clip on IMDB is a must see, LOL, even if you pass on seeing the movie.

Start an evening by eating a large plate of pasta with two glasses of red wine then watch them. Sure they are flawed masterpieces but like a Leoncallo opera we still get moments of Ridi pagliaccio!!!

We watch "In the name of the King" every year strictly to make fun of it for 2 hours straight

BECAUSE OF THE SEAWEED!!! :awe:

Earlier I said Ewe Boll movies are sometimes sort of a hit, so I think this would rank as some of his best work so far. When I rented this when it first came out I had no idea he directed it, so I saw it with no bias going into it. I was mildly entertained by it, considering the fact mighty knights who save the kingdom from monsters isn't exactly a new concept for filmmakers.

In the Name of the King is sort of a hit, and I DID quantify hit in my original statement. It's probably his best piece of... work... yet. But I haven't seen most of what he's done, either. So it's a pretty subjective assessment on my part.

Year one

It made me think Harold Ramis has died and replaced by a pod person.

I realized this was a movie destined to be watched with copious amounts of alcohol involved. So it didn't disappoint me nearly as much as a more sober person would have been.

Freddy Got Fingered

Some of the movies listed in this thread lead me to believe some of you need to watch more movies.

There's one film considered an all-time great which i could just not bear - Barry Lyndon; i thought it was so tedious, boring and dull that it made my brain hurt.

FYI i can easily enjoy a 3 hour sitting of Ran, director's cut, in Japanese, but for the life of me that Kubrick film is unbearable.
