I went the cheap route and bought the Asus Video Suite with an FX5200. It is for a P3 866 machine so gaming wasn't an issue. The card is working out very well for what the machine is used for. Dual DVIs outputs are nice to have. Card was about $100. Came with a lot of software and is running in an overclocked BX board so the AGP bus is running at 89Mhz.

Any clue if any of those FX5600's are the flip chip versions? Also, anybody know if Gainward has a Golden Sample FX Dual-DVI card?

Both of those would be really nice.

Well finally, Asus will put out dual DVI ATI Radeon cards... the 9800XT and the 9600XT will also have VIVO. But all the pictures show the Asus having one VGA and one DVI, but the press releases say Dual DVI with Dual VGA adaptors. Don't know to go with the new ATI All-In-Wonder 9600 Pro with dual VGA or the new Asus Radeon 9600XT?

It looks like most manufacturers are doing the standard vga/tvout/dvi for their 5700 ultras .

Hopefully at least one manufacturer will put out a dual DVI card.

I link to two or three dual-DVI 5700 Ultra cards in the first post. Admittedly, manufacturers may change their minds, it looks like we'l at least have two pr three options. I presume that these 5700 cards would nearly be the most powerful consumer card available in dual-DVI, as Tyan's Radeon 9600 tops the ATi side of the world.

If you search froogle.google.com you see a large list of companies purportedly selling the cancelled Tyan Tachyon 9600-M Dual DVI card. Most are out of stock, obviously, but several show in stock and I was wondering if those that show stock are lying or if there was a small amount released to retail.

Anyone know?

Addendum:

Apparently many locations are offering the 9600-M for sale using the 9600-MD (Dual DVI) picture or transposing the model numbers and specifications. I have yet to find a confirmed in stock location for the 9600-M Dual DVI. Can someone throw me a bone?

The XFX FX5700 is shown as "now available" on the xfx website.
The pick shows dual DVI.

A search of Pricewatch shows that Axiom might have it.

I would like to verify that it is indeed dual DVI before I order..
