It is so hard to watch because of how bad it is. I'm willing to give it one more shot, after that, can it to make space for Leno and leave some breathing room for Chuck.

Bolt - ?/10 Fell asleep about 10 minutes in. If that tells you anything.

I give Bolt about a 5.5/10. I heard there was supposed to be a lot of adult-oriented humor, but I didn't see much of any. The "plot" was such that after the initial conflict is established, you know exactly how it will end. My wife bought it on DVD, then I exchanged it for the BR (which I was glad for because I at least got to enjoy the excellent graphics.)

Edit: My two year old gives it a 10/10, based on the fact that she's been talking about the "doggy movie" for several days.

I'm gonna have to give Pineapple Express a 10/10 from my perspective. It hit me right exactly where it should, and I was crying and falling out of my chair laughing at this movie, but I can definitely see where others wouldn't get the same reaction.

As for RockNRolla, I'll agree with you there. It was a fun watch, but not as good as Snatch.

I watched this last night, I think it's the 4th time I've seen it. Great movie, Jack is awesome.

State of Play - 7/10, not too shabby. would have been a 6.5 or 6 without the lovely Ms. McAdams. Affleck wasn't much of a douche, surprisingly. Russell Crowe's character was decent. This movie is aight/10.

edit: I love watching 30 Days of Night. I could watch it once a week.

State of Play - 7.5/10 - It wasn't bad at all. Crowe was ok, but it was really Rachel McAdams and Helen Mirren who were worth watching. It wasn't that good a 'thriller', execution was ok, ending was so so. Nice once over film.

The Soloist - 6.5/10 - Gotta say I was a bit disappointed. Robert Downey Jr. was excellent. Jamie Foxx, did great, but it's his character that I just don't care for. If we have to compare character types, Dustin Hoffman's character in "Rainman" was a lot more identifiable. Also, they tried too hard to show the plight of the homless people in LA. The story wasn't that cohesive, and it's like the director/screenwriter just didn't know what they wanted to do at times.

Oh well, get to see X-men next week.

Seven Pounds 1/10. Pure schmaltz.

Taken 7/10. Braindead, but one of the better flicks in the genre.

Frost/Nixon 9/10 Great performances, far more intense and fast paced than I would have thought possible given the subject.

9/10 Taken rules. It might be contrived, corny, and unbelievable, but he just beats everyone. Action at its finest.

Also,

Watchmen 6/10 Overhyped

Fast and the Furious 6/10

Knowing 5/10

Dragon Ball Evo 5/10

Sunshine Cleaning 6/10 A few years back, when I was into depressing movies, I would have given it higher. (Now, I like action.)

Sin Nombre 5/10 Pointless movie with 2 really stupid girl characters. Too bad only one of them dies. It gets a 5 because at least I wasn't bored and the girls were pretty.

This is not really a movie, but I finally got to watch season 2 and 3 of IT crowd. Hilarious. I'd rate it 7/10. It was good, but it would probably be better if it was more office/IT oriented. Those guys are hilarious.

Yes Man - 7/10 Jim Carrey pretty funny, which surprised me because his last couple of movies have sucked.

I turned Pineapple off after 30-40 mintues. Based on what I saw I gave it a 1/10. I smoke herb, but apparently I don't abuse it enough to like Apatow's films. This easily makes my bottom-5 list, which not coincidentally has that other Apatow turd, Talladega Nights. His success makes me think of the Oscar-winner Ass from Idiocracy.

Probably my favorite King book, even Kubrick couldn't do it justice. It's a great film but read the book if you have a chance.

Sin Nombre - 8/10

Actually kind of hard to rate it properly as I couldn't find subtitles and my Spanish is atrocious after so much time on the shelf. But the camera work and acting are quite good, and the gang leader's tattoo alone makes the film worth seeing

Body of Lies - 6/10 Damn thing just took far too long to get going. It's gives you something to think about when it comes to the whole middle east thing though.

Tale of Despereaux - 5.5/10 Although I found the Blu-ray absolutely stunning visually, the story itself was quite bland.

Constantine - 8/10 - Really liked it. Saw it late last night. Rachel Weisz actually has an ok American accent. Keanu is ok, but it wasn't exactly a demanding role. Good action-ish movie, not overdone, and just entertaining.

I really had no expectations going into this movie, I really didn't know what it was even specifically about but it turned out to be a pretty entertaining movie but longer than it needed to be.

All around good acting, the little kid did a great job considering he was so young and an unknown.

Zack and Mari Make a Porno - 8/10

Had me laughing my ass off at many scenes but was still any enjoyable movie/story and not only gross out humor.

I loved Australia as well, and mainly because of the little boy. He did a great job in the movie, and I'm not really a kids person!

Quarentine: 5/10 Good for a zombie flick, however it had "shaky camera syndrome" throughout most of the movie. SFX were decent though. Environment was good.

A Haunting In Conneticut: 8/10 creative story and fantastic environment and detail. I reccomend seeing this one.

The Good, The Bad, The Weird: 10/10 Great story, lots of twists, insane cinematography, great action, some hilarious humor as well. The best foreign film i have ever watched.

Zack and Miri 5/10. Not good for spanking. Not good for laughs. Kevin Smith is losing his touch.

Role Models 5/10. Same as above. Except I didnt really expect it to be good. I got it accidentally from Netflix.

Quantum of Solace 9/10. Loses one point for no Q, but otherwise awesome. Its not quite the same thing as reality, but its great entertainment. I am glad Bond went in a new direction with Casino Royale. If it hadn't, then the franchise would likely have died.

Saw V 6/10, and only if you like gore. The first one was a darn good crime thriller with above-average blood. Now its just getting tired, and the shocks are no longer shocking. They creaters did OK with Dead Silence. I think they should stop milking the franchise and do something original.

Latest Joanna Angel flick 10/10, but I'm not saying any more than that.

transporter 3=6 not much t&a
saw V =8 still fun
rachel getting married=1 boring as f*ck, like a film that was never edited, also very full of itself.
nicks infinite playlist=boring as f*ck, don't care about characters, aimless
american swing=semi amusing documentary about the reality of swinging, 7...for tales of the gross mingling of juices and crabs
the wrestler=9 pretty horrifying stuff, well filmed, only down bit was the daughter who was a bit miscast. marisas got a banging body though
splinter=really cheap looking horror flick, the "mold" monster is not scary, the splinters look lame, and i swear they are using fero fluid sometimes.
harlan county usa -5 interesting for the first 30 minutes, a trip back to the 70s/poverty. but it grinds on too slow and just gets boring as f*ck
midnight meattrain-6 has vinney jones. but its mostly plot free kill fest. not something u'd watch twice.
the broken-3 has lena headey from terminator. but plot is convoluted and slow as f*ck, doesn't really go anywhere.
doubt-8 not a bad flick, but its a bit like a play
city of ember- 2 lol sorta like the fall out game..but dull and uninspired even for a kids movie. half baked.
frost nixon-3 the real interviews. not the film. if you really hate nixon you might like it. otherwise its the same ol clips of him dancing around the issue, boring as f*ck.
deathnote 1/2 -8 not a bad translation of the anime to a real film.

Slumdog Millionaire - 8.5/10. Love plot is hardly groundbreaking. Neither are plots incorporating. However, the movie was beautifully made, awesome soundtrack, and surprisingly good acting. Danny Boyle is a champ.

The Wrestler - 8.0/10. Cooool movie. Mickey Rourke did very well. However, it was very predictable. Despite that, still moving.

Layer Cake - 8.0/10. Second time I've seen the movie, liked it more than the first time. Gotta pay attention to this movie, nothing super confusing but it's easy to get lost if your mind wanders.

Taken - 7.5/10. If you want to see a movie full of breaking apendages and gun fights, watch this. Oh, plus one of the more unique car chase scenes I've seen before.

In the pipeline: The Watchmen and Redbelt at home, Wolverine, Star Trek, and Transformers II in the theaters.

2/10 on Australia for me. and that's only for the cinematography. seemed like an elaborate excuse to make long, sweeping spectacular shots of landscape (that were quite nice), and classic Hollywood-esque epic grand-scale sweeps. throw in a jumbled, un-focused story with random scenes to supplement the grand scenery and heavily choreographed shots.

needed subtitles--I had no freaking clue what they were saying half the time. I thought having the kid narrate was a poor choice--voice-wise, absurd amount of narrative, and just the overall weak dialogue. Not surprised that this seemed to hang around in theaters for about a week (I don't even remember it showing, despite the large amounts of advance publicity.) Seemed like it was on video only a month later. ....that can't be good for the bottom line.

wow, you gave transporter 3 an 8 and a 1 for Burn After Reading???

I quite enjoyed Burn After Reading; quirky and fun, just as I expected, and Richard Jenkins kicks ass!

KT

Born after Reading was great. what more do you need from a screwball Coen bros flick?

not before Dollhouse,. that show really blows hard.

I've liked P&R so far. It's an Office clone but that shouldn't be a surprise.
