The Punisher: War Zone - 5/10

Shitty acting, shitty plot, too much unnecessary gore. Awesome action and gunfights though... the only things that made it watchable.

This was a pretty enjoyable movie, if you prefer the type. It's basically just 5-6 people sitting around a living room and talking, and the acting is a bit off, but it was still somewhat thought-provoking and entertaining.

yeah, i reviewed this a little while back. was definitely interesting imo. it kept my attention the whole time, something that lots of movies, even the big "blockbusters" can't do most times.



Role Models - 7/10 - Pretty cliche but has several funny parts.

The Big Lebowski 10/10 - "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FUCK A STRANGER IN THE ASS" - nuff said.

Star Trek - 2009 9/10 - Visual effects were good as was the slightly redefined story and acting. Movie did drag on occasionally.

X-Men Origins Wolverine 9/10 - Gave it the high score mostly because I have been a die hard Wolverine fan since I was a little kid. Movie dragged on and effects sucked in some place. And WTF adamantium bullet, fucking lame!

A decent, Burton-esque animated flick. It's no Corpse's Bride, but still entertaining.

I also watched Wall-E on Starz HD the other night and it's on Demand if you have it. I was really caught surprised by this one because I thought it was going to be another corny kid movie but it was surprisingly funny and imaginative. I was also taken back by the rendering and how graphics are really improving in animated films. It peddles and hammers in a libertarian message, but that's easy to overlook.

Righteous Kill - Al Pacino and Robert Di Nero. 6/10. Great acting of course, but to me the story was not engaging enough or the slightest bit intuitive. I see Al and Rob play these parts in their sleep.

Taken - 8/10 Loved it, until the ending. The only thing that was missing in the ending was a rainbow and some rose peddles falling from the sky. Other than that, the acting was spot on, the settings were consistent, and the story and action was intense. The movies premise however is disturbing, but it's not for everybody.

Weeds Season 1 - 6.5/10 Just seemed to me something missing, like an episode or two that were just removed from the dvds

Weeds Season 2 - 8/10 Excellent. Things came together and the episodes flowed more naturally.

Weeds Season 3 - 5/10 I am really beginning to hate the main character "Nancy".

From what I have seen, not a bad series. What I have described as a Fru Fru Suburban Housewife's version of Breaking Bad. The main character "Nancy" is really starting to irk me though. I'll sit through season 4 and if she doesn't straighten up a bit I'll probably have to stop watching. Kevin Nealon's character "Councilman Doug" is really my hero. He makes the show what it is and the scores would have easily dropped a point or two without him.

That's funny, I just told a friend that Breaking Bad is the male version of Weeds. I have not seen season 3 of Weeds yet, but the first 2 seasons were amazing.

The Strangers 4/10 - I was fairly bored by this thriller. Somewhat "fun" in that it was a brainless thriller that didn't have to be overly gorey to get some fright out.

Next 7/10 - I know, I know. Nic Cage can't act, and this movie was full of holes but I just can't help it.. I like almost all Nic Cage movies. I really think he sold his soul to the devil, but I can't stop myself from enjoying them .. regardless of how bad they really are.

Yeah, Weeds started out pretty strong, but it's starting to really suck. The worst thing about it is the main character is a class-A moron of the highest caliber, and most of the supporting characters are equally idiotic. The story is going nowhere quick

Eh, I'm not a transporter fan. It just seemed so ridiculous all the time it felt like I was watching a comedy with no humor. The grease scene, the 1,000 guns and millions of rounds of ammunition hitting everything but flesh, and cars with wings.

It was good on blue ray for me, and I would agree with that score. I wasn't expecting a lot though like others who watched the original, or read the book that was nothing like this movie. It wasn't much of a sci-fi than it was a drama which is likely why a lot of people hated it.

Angels & Demons - 6/10 Interesting twists of the story toward the end, but overall not as good as The Da Vinci Code. Almost like watching the National Treasure movies, just with better acting.

Latest Xmen: 6/10. After awhile it got to be a bit tedious. But it did clear up Wolverine's story.

Latest Star Trek: 4/10 The director had to go to an alternate timeline to find secondary characters to kill off. Almost everyone I know who has seen this movie loves it. I could still be burned out on the francise.

Let the Right One In: 7/10. Interesting take on the vampire story.

Two and a Half Men seasons 1 through 6: 7/10. The poop jokes are not my idea of humor. I like the characters and writing.

He is Just Not That Into You: 7/10 not bad if you like romantic comedies.

Kung Fu Panda: 7/10, I am a sucker for quality animation and stories.

Hancock: 7/10, a well made movie with good story line and acting.

Journey to the Center of the Earth: 6/10 I am not a big fan of 3D movie gimmicks. But the movie has dinosaurs.

Jumper: 7/10 I not sure why I like this movie.

The World Fastest Indian: 7/10, After watching this movie I started thinking about how to go over 200 mph on the ground.

Maybe I had too high expectations for this one based on the buzz, but it - while pretty good - was nothing too special. Some of the plot seemed forced and amateurish in order to get the viewer to recognize things. And the cootch-shot of a 12yo girl was.. odd.

Really? started out strong? I have yet to watch the last episode of Season 1 but so far it's been pretty meh. Maybe it's because I couldn't give 2 shits about marijuana, but the show isn't that great. It's rarely even funny.

Ah, well if you don't like it now, you're going to hate it later. By starting out strong, I really mean that the first two seasons are fairly entertaining, but season 3 started to really suck, and season 4 is just a disaster.
