Terminator Salvation 5/10
i wasn't really impressed with the overall movie. I thought it lacked a little more info about the characters (but then again it is an action flicK ) I did however jump for joy when they busted out the "cameo" of you know who

The Hangover - 8/10: Hilarious. There are many themes, characters, and plot elements you see in all kinds of comedy movies, but they are executed very well here and the movie never really slows down. One of the few comedies in recent years that actually stays away from the sappiness and lesson teaching (there's a bit of it, but it's barely notciceable) and keeps the laughs throughout to the very end. Had a lot of fun at this movie. Note, if you pay attention you will see a few of the characters from Old School, which has the same guys behind it. Zach Galifianakis was perfect as Alan.

Agreed. Thats something that has been ruining movies like this for a while. Its good that they really minimized it here.

I'd probably rate it the same. I don't know if it'll be one I can watch over and over again, but it was definitely enjoyable. I basically went to see it for Zach.

The Big Empty. 10 of 10. A gem in every respect. Stars Jon Favreau and a GREAT supporting cast that includes lots of eye candy, if that's important to you.

This exceptionally well written review really captures the spirit and essence of this indie masterpiece:

I've just read a slew of reviews of this film. People really hate this movie and to be honest, I don't understand why. In The Big Empty, Jon Favreau plays an out of work actor who is hired/blackmailed by his landlord/neighbor (Bud Cort, aka Harold, of Harold and Maude) to deliver a briefcase to a Cowboy in the wastelands of Central California.

He is reluctant, but has nothing better to do. He heads out, leaving Joey Lauren Adams in a neighboring apartment without any shoes. As he wanders through a stark, Bakersfieldian landscape seeking solace, and a violent Englishman in full-agg-hetero cowboy regalia, he is accosted by eldritch horrors, unspeakable fornications, vicious chainsaw wielding savages, and Frasier's Kelsey Grammar. Eventually, the weirdness stacks up until his disturbingly over-sized head is viciously exploded and his torso becomes a giant bowling ball. ...wait, that's not right. It's close though. This movie IS quirky and original. Don't let the naysayers fool you with their saying of nay. In this fine piece of cinema we encounter many elements that we've seen before, but they are cobbled together into a funny and cruel shoeful of surrealist whackiness. I laughed and was temporarily dumbstuck by the shear unpredictability of it all. The cast does a fine job, and should be given waffles and fine international syrups. If you're the type of person who is afraid of movies that you can't figure out in the first five minutes (or at all), go back to the DaVinci Code. You are not ready.

Interesting Perk. When I dig around a little further on that movie, the favourable reviews are out there but are hiding in the background; it just seems it was not well received by a lot of the normal outlets. I've added it to my list. Thanks!

Terminator Salvation - 3/10
Sorry, it was just that bad (and I liked T3)

Rocky - 3/10
Yes, the first one. 1-5 are free on Comcast in demand HD right now. I plan to watch them all, but the first one is just a bad love story.

I wouldn't really call it a Scifi channel movie. Its Canadian . I watched it over the weekend too. The first movie was better. There is a third movie too Set in 19th Century Canada with the two sisters taking refuge in a fort besieged by werewolves. Its ok.

Umm the first Rocky isn't a love story, it's a story about a no-name boxer taking the world champ to the limit.

ya, i was looking online and unleashed and the the first one are better than the 3rd, which was on just before unleashed. from what i've read, unleashed and beginnings were film back to back and beginnings was released straight to dvd.

All three are packaged together as a set and I'm thinking if getting the set.

Also there are roumors of a series based on the ghost character from the sequel.

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium: 5/10- It had me fighting sleep the whole time.

Battlestar Galactica 2003 miniseries: 8/10- I've heard so much about this series over the years, that I thought it was time to give it a shot. If the series is anywhere as good as this, I'm in for one heck of a ride.

Terminator Salvation: 8.5/10 Don't know why everyone hates on this one, good action flick
W: 7/10 pretty good insight into the life of the Dub, could have benefitted from several more years of hindsight

The first season and the last few episodes for the most part are but it drags for a long time in the middle.

And the part with another battlestar was decent to.

Wow, really? I love that movie. One of the greatest sports movies of all time and a classic underdog tale.

Resident Evil 1: 6/10, it's been a number of years since I've seen this movie and deciede to rewatch it and the other two on blu-ray, I have to say, after seeing it again, I liked it more than I remembered I did. It's just a cheesy horror/sci-fi/action-ish movie but entertaining for the most part.

Resident Evil 2: 5/10, I didn't like it as much as the first one, was pretty cheesy with the fake ass stupid jumping around like some marvel charecter or something.

I'll probably watch the 3rd one some time this week and will update if I remember.

One thing is clear, Milla Jovovich must have some "will not do a movie unless I show off my 8 y/o boy boobs" clause or something.

Never Back Down - 5/10...The girl being sexy automatically gives it 3 points, the other 2 come from the semi-interesting plot. Fight scenes were below average.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno - 8/10...I really liked this movie, Im a fan of Seth Rogan and the emotion between the two main characters gives it a nice romance feel.

Edit:

Taken - 8/10...Loved Liam Neeson in it even though he is rather old. Basic concept but everything seemed to fit together.

The Hangover - 8.5/10...The cast was great, each character was funny in distinct ways. Did not live up to the hype from friends that told me about it, but still very funny.
