The International - 6/10

Clive Owen is good as usual but the writing and direction was just OK. There's one good extended gun battle that action fans should rent it to watch. Or just rent Shoot 'em Up again

Zombie Strippers - 6/10

I love B movies, but this one wasn't that great. Zombies (including Jenna Jameson) who quote Nietzsche and strip (the zombie mutation makes them great dancers or something.) I do enjoy the political jabs, stereotypes, and puns, but not enough to recommend this. Also has Robert Englund, who seems to drag down even the cheesiest B movies.

Death Race - I saw this movie with the expectation that it would completely suck like nearly every other Jason Statham movie out there. Boy was I wrong! As a senseless action movie with no depth it delivered about as well as I could have hoped. The deaths, explosions, cars, plot, and characters were all blown out of proportion. The story barely hung together and, yet through it all, I was hooked. Purely for entertainment value, I give it a 7/10.

The Hangover - 7.5/10: Very funny movie from beginning to the end. However I found many of the funny parts were spoiled by the trailers on TV.

Just plowed through 2 full seasons for Burn Notice. Love it.

I also think its hilarious every B actor has made an appearance as a bad guy on this show.

S. Darko - 3/10

I was one of those guys who enjoyed Donnie Darko on the surface, then really enjoyed it after some research and talking abou tit with other people. This sequel about his sister several years later has a very similar plot, but with none of the enjoyment or fun. Not at all entertaining, and no pay-off at the end. A horrible sequel. A really bad movie.

Taken 7/10 - Nothing really special here, just a sort of guilty pleasure no remorse action thriller. Liam Neeson is badass and it was just fun to watch him beat the hell out of people. Dialogue/plot were fairly run of the mill/dull but hey, it's an action thriller.. what do you expect? I was still highly entertained and giddy at the almost comic book esque badass dialogue at moments.

I would hesitate to classify any Evil Dead film as Horror. Horror-SPOOF... there ya go.

Well yeah, but still.

KT

ED1 was a horror flick (low budget, yeah, but a horror flick).

ED2 was more of a horror/black comedy.

AoD was just, well, awesome.

Ghost Rider -- 2/10

Steaming pile of shit movie. Laughable in many parts. Eva Mendez' cleavage was the movie's saving grace.

Big Trouble in Little China 6/10 - Weird movie. I didn't even know it was about sorcerers and magic.. I thought it was a gangster movie set in Chinatown or something like that... Entertaining but with a silly storyline....

I just watched "contact" Gay Gay.

They build the space transport so Jodie Foster can see.... Her dad? This is why you wouldn't send a woman to space. She spent the time blubbering.

I suppose this is how the first contact from mass effect might have occurred. They built a small mass relay, which takes them to the citadel. The people on the Citadel dont know how the mass relays were built, cause the Reapers built it.

I give it a 9/10 for idea. I give it a 2/10 for delivery.

I cant wait to see the remake.

The Hangover - 9/10. Finally a comedy along the lines of Old School and Wedding Crashers. I was getting tired of all this Apatow crap.

Plus, another appearance by the Dan Band? Simply amazing.

The Uninvited 1/10 - predictable at every turn, bad script and acting. Should have been a straight to Lifetime movie.

Yes Man 6.5/1 - much better and funnier than I thought it would be. Thought it was just gonna be Jim Carrey trying to redo Liar, Liar to give his career a boost. It was neither.

Burn After Reading 4/10 - another steaming pile of crap from the Cohen brothers. Someday I will earn to ignore the weirdos that think their movies are pieces of fine art.

Taken 7.5/10 - lots and lots of killing. Think Natural Born Killers meets the Bourne Identity, except without Woody Harrelson acting like.......... Woody Harrelson.

The Happening 7/10 - I don't know why people don't like this movie. I think the requirement of over the top suspension of disbelief and the stilted acting were completely intentional. Great Shamayalan feel to it. His goriest film by far.

Coraline 9/10 - I'd hated everything about Tim Burton until I saw this movie. My four year old was obsessed with the Nightmare Before Christmas and the Corpse Bride and and she begged me to see it. So we did, even though I knew Coraline was a bit dark. We both loved it. I felt like it was more of a movie and less of a hallucinogen induced dream than the rest of his crap.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop 1.5/10 - I love Kevin James. I hate Kevin James for this movie. Didn't laugh or chuckle out loud ever. They even failed at creating likable, sympathetic characters. I gave it an extra .5, because at least I learned that Hypoglycemic people have a difficult time metabolizing alcohol.

Weeds Season 4 - 7.5/10 Finally Nancy isn't a complete moron and also spends a couple scenes nude. Makes it worth while for those that have been waiting.

Burn Notice Season 1 - 8/10 Macguyver Meets The Equalizer... A little formulaic but entertaining none the less.

Gran Torino - 4/10 So predictable, absolutely horrible acting from every "actor" including the seasoned veteran. Wait for TV.

Drag Me To Hell - 8/10: Awesome. Reminds me of the good old Sam Raimi days. Some great, old school, spooky, gross, and campy horror. Had a lot of fun at this one and I hope he makes more movies like this in the future.

The Hangover - 8.5/10. Hilarious, I've seen it twice in the theaters so far. It would have been closer to a 10/10 except I wish they'd shown more of the night in Vegas. But, I guess that was the whole point of the movie.

Caught The Dark Knight on HBO yesterday. First time seeing it, missed the first 30 min.

6/10 - Decent action, not great by any means. Joker was awesome but the rest of the characters not so much. Cannot believe the hype behind the move.

Year One - 4/10: Honestly... it was either boring or revolting. I thought with Harold Ramis (Egon from Ghostbusters) at the helm, the movie would be something better than the usual Jack Black suckfest. But it seems there's one lingering phantom in the world of movies that even the Ghostbusters can't put down .

Knowing - 6.5/10: While this wasn't a bad movie, it pulled a Hancock. The beginning was kind of interesting if you could deal with Nicholas Cage's character's self-loathing scenes. The problem is the movie must've been funded (at least partially) by some Christian fundamentalists as it went from having a nifty ending like using the code to stop some horrible plot to letting weird glowy men take our children. I would've preferred if it was the prior, even if that would've been a little too expected.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian - 5/10: While I found it a little interesting to see more characters in the fold this time, the movie got a little boring after awhile. The ending was also fairly obvious after only a couple minutes into it. I also thought that the first one had a bit more interesting of a plot.

No, she still was in season 4. As the show goes on, her character just becomes more and more retarded in how she tries to power grab but realizes how feeble she really is. I think in last week's episode (season 5 episode 2), she sorta realized how fucked up her life is getting .

Glad I'm not the only person that's tired of the usually terrible Apataw movies. They try to push themselves as funny and smart, but they're usually just boring and mostly filled with stoners laughing at stupid shit.
