Cube - 1/10 - An apparent cult classic. It had it's positives but when the movie ended I was pretty pissed off.

So, everyone is in this cube and the thing that pisses me off ... the spoiler .... is that they never tell you who made the damned thing and the concolusion just left me confused.

If it wern't for that, I'd give it a solid 4/10 or more depending on how things would be different. Sadly, it was good enough to see the sequels which I have been told have the same flaw. But I am kinda curious.

Edge Of Darkness - 7/10: Much better than I expected based on the reviews and comments I had seen around. An overall pretty decent revenge-thriller, ...

RED - 8/10 All the fun that was missing from the way-too-serious Salt. Bruce Willis at his likable best along with a good cast of co-stars. If you like light, fun action movies this beats The Expendables and The Losers at that game.

I watched "Red" tonight. I agree. It was fun to watch. The plot was pretty predictable and corny as hell...but it was still fun. I considered it more of an "action comedy" than anything.

I dunno, i thought the tone was all over the place, so the cartoon violence just reduced the tension of everything to nothing.

Tamara Drewe 3/10- buncha unlikable characters, boring as sin. has gemma artertons ass, but that isn't enough to save it.

I tried watching fear and loathing in las vegas last night. I made it through about 20 minutes before I turned it off. I must be missing something because it was painful to watch, I couldn't stand it

I had a similar reaction when I tried it many years ago.

no kidding, so grey and lifeless, it is amazing the franchise keeps going, i don't even remember much of the plot it was so generic and unmemorable.

Four Lions

Nothing I have watched in the last 10 years comes close to how funny that movie was 10/10, this is a must see.

Really? I gave it pretty much a 1 star for bufoonery.

^^^ Deftly done and absolutely absorbing from beginning to end. What a documentary should be -- not telling, but showing.

The Sunset Limited -- 9./10: David Mamet, say no more.

The entire movie plays out in one bare room with just Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L. Jackson playing two never named characters privileged to deliver Mamet's dialog.

I think that even the many of you here who couldn't or wouldn't hang with most of it would be absolutely mesmerized by the last 15 minutes.

It was good, but it wasn't mamet as said, it was like a dinner with andre movie though.

Hatchet - 4/10, and I think that's being generous.

I actually made it just shy of an hour before I looked to see how many minutes were left. There was a little less than 30 minutes left, so I figured I'd stick with it, just for completion's sake.

Definitely not missing anything if you don't see this.

Seemed like a Matrix ripoff, with a Neo/Agent Smith Villain and more Bullet Time than you can shake a stick at. The Video diaries were just dumb. She loses her abilities, survives the Crash, turns into a soccer Mom, then goes back to some hell on wheels again? I must have missed one of the previous movies as the story continuation made no sense.

The Story flow is so slow/little in this one that it seems more like a drawn out TV Episode rather than a Movie.

Alice sets all her clones free, so there you have a bunch of them at the beginning of this movie. Also, in Apocalypse, Ali Larter gets away on a helicopter and heads for Alaska because there are rumours of some safe haven there. Ties everything up nicely...

Ah ok, should watch Apocalyse then. I think I saw the end of it once. I still think this series is plodding along at a snails pace.

it really, really helps if you dig H.S. Thomspon. Maybe if you read some of his work, it will make more sense. Also, if you have no experience with drugs, some of it just may drift by you...

I don't know who any of those people are that you mentioned but I really liked Fear and Loathing.
