List your favorite movies

A few of my favorite movies - and I don't think there's any movie I can stand to rewatch much:

- Amelie, Awarded the Craig for Most Charming Movie

- This is Spinal Tap, a documentary about a forgotten 60's rock band (shhh)

- Planet of the Apes

- Vertigo and similar Hitchcock classics

- The only musical I like, Hair

- Dr. Strangelove

Worst movie ever: Naked Lunch, PSA

Yes, he specifically picked the decent movies out of your unimpressive and unimaginative list and targeted them. The Matrix is definitely the main one he was pointing out. There's no way he was referring to, say, Matrix 3 or Terminator 4. You're so completely on point here.

To the OP, whose politics I despise, instead of piling on, I'll suggest some actually good action movies that should fit his taste: the Transporter series with Jason Stratham.

I'm not sure if he'd like some of the Asian movies with action such as the more arty Hero or Flying Tiger, Hidden Dragon, or the more humorous Shaolin Soccer.

I suspect he wouldn't like more stylized movies with action such as Kill Bill or Pulp Fiction.

It's not so much that the politics are different, it's what they say about you, and also how much they allow me to recommend movies you'll like.

Yeah, the OP's favorite movie list is terrible and full of fail. Sorry OP. It is missing so many of the true classics that I don't know where to start.

Where's The Empire Strikes Back? Raiders of the Lost Ark? Citizen Kane (though I personally think it is overrated)? You definitely need to see Casablanca.

I don't know, Platoon and the original Terminator are pretty awesome. Pretty sure they both made my top 100. Outside of that though...

I tried watching Shaolin Soccer in English...ugh...Steven Chow movies do not translate well to English due to the jokes.

Not a big fan of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Like House of Flying Daggers more.

A World Without Thieves - Very good story. Plus Li BingBing is smoking hot.

Infernal Affairs - The Departed is based off this movie. Two of my favorite actors in Andy Lau and Tony Leung.

Yea, I mean I like Harrison Ford and all but that's HF overload and while the Matrix was a very good Sci-fi film and I enjoyed it, the sequels were as weak as a stillborn kitten.

No, the first "Rambo" was very good IMO, it's when they got to #4, it's milking the crap out of it, same deal with "Terminator" although Term2 was also very good. No one's really out to get you here John but you posted a really weak list so you know how it goes here, the basting will ensue..
