Never heard of Newegg, but their policies on returns seems to be pretty good.

Shipping is .01 - at least for me.

Hardware quality is good, I believe this is a Sanyo unit and they all seem pretty good. Can't say anything about the vendor though...

No this is not a Sanyo. It's Lite-On's own design. They've been having problems with Sanyo and getting their Burn Proof certification. It took them 4 tries or something. The quality is not quite up there.

Honestly I wouldn't touch this drive with a 10' pole.
