EDIT: Ok, basically I have to say that this is all thanks to the JumpOnDeals.com website Hot Deals page except that they list the final price as $88.06, there was no free next-day shipping involved (maybe an error?), and you didn't have to add anything to reach the $100 mark. So, it seems that maybe Dell has lowered the price on the drive.
I just ordered the Lite-On 40x/12x/48x CD-RW burner from Dell for $80.55 shipped next business day. I'm not sure if it is an error or not, but here's what I did. From the JumpOnDeals.com website, there was a message on the left in the "Last 5 Deals Clicked" section about ordering the drive for just $88.06 through Dell Home and Office. This was done using a $10 off $100 coupon, and an extra 10% off coupon (expires 4/29/02). Of course I'm not going to mention the actual codes here--if you surf to the JOD website you can find them there. Anyway, the actual link at the JumpOnDeals.com website which will bring you to the appropriate spot on the Dell website is http://www.jumpondeals.com/redirect.php3?cid=6859. Once you use that, search for item A0011904. This is the Lite-On drive which you add to your cart. Problem is the drive is just $99.95, so the $10 off $100 coupon was not a possibility. So I searched around, and found a $0.66 Imation 80 min/700 meg CD-R (Dell part no. 595807-4), and added that to my cart to bring the total to $100.61. Then, I was able to add the $10 off $100 and extra 10% off coupon listed at the JumpOnDeals website. This removed $20.66 from the total, leaving it at just $80.55. Then, when I went to pick shipping after specifying my zip code, etc., all shipping options (e.g. lowest cost ground 3-5 day, 2 business day, and next business day) came up as $0.00. So I obviously took the next business day option. Anyway, a few minutes later, I got first the order acknowledgement and then order confirmation by e-mail. The confirmation e-mail says that the order was processed, and that it will ship on or before April 22 once my credit card payment is authorized.
Anyway, maybe this $0.00 for any type of shipping is screwed up, but even if they ship it by ground for just $80.55, it seems like a decent deal. Hope some of you can also take advantage of this.
