Typical Dell. I cancelled one of the 3 Lite-On 40x12x48 drives that I ordered about a month ago. I was told to refuse the drive, which I did, weeks ago. Still no credit for it, so I called up and was told that "the tracking number was changed in the system, and they've got it under another number." *HUH*? So, the rep supposedly corrected whatever it is that needed correcting, and told me the credit would now be processed. Then I asked her when I could expect to see the credit made, and she told me: "2-3 MONTHS." Needless to say, that charge will be placed into dispute with my credit card as soon as my statement cycle closes, long before that credit will appear. F* Dell.
2-3 months? she's trying to make you feel better. try 4 months, that's how long it took dell to give me my credit after i refused a samsung monitor i ordered. same situation as yours, ordered it, cancelled it, yet it was still shipped to me.
a lot of "peripherals" are dropped shipped by 3rd party vendors, so when you reject the shipment, it goes back to them, not dell. dell does not know about it because those vendors don't care to tell dell unless they are probed, so we, the buyers get screwed.
oh, btw JIC, check your ebates account, those bastages took away the money for the cancelled dell orders. there goes $750 from my ebates account.
