You snooze...you loose. Maybe you'll get it and the rebates too, but unless they ship in the next day or two, I would verify you'll be eligible for the rebate even though others may have.

Postmarked date is in September right? Mine says estimated delivery date on 8/19. Both items are backordred.

Just a note, if you have a copy of Nero that's coded for a specific burner brand, you can "unlock" it by finding a key/serial number to turn your OEM copy into a full version. There shouldn't be anything wrong with this, you bought the first copy so... I guess unless it says in the EULA that it can only be used with a specific drive, but I wouldn't really worry about that. Or heck, maybe even entering the new key into the old software would work. In Nero you can enter a new serial as often as you want.

At least this would save you from uninstalling/installing the copy that comes with the new burner.

yeah I have 4 legal versions and upgraded them with a nero enterprise edition keygen this made the express version full ent. edition versions and removed the marriage to only one brand cdrw

Thanks for the post. I got my burner today. The label kit will be going back to the BB B&M later this week so I don't have to deal with another MIR.

Both were backordered for me, so I called rebate center customer service-They said if they ship after the offer date, that is when credit card is billed, so rebates would not be good ! Better check folks, or you may end up with expensive items ! I cancelled that puppy !!

One thing to keep in mind if you are trying to return the label kit is the rumors that Best Buy will invalidate your rebates if any item is return (whether it is the rebate item or not). Although it appears as two seperate items they are both under the same order number and would show up as being returned if they go to verify the rebate claim.

I took off the face plate and spray painted it to match my case. That's the third drive I've done that way. How many others will be doing this?

that doesn't make any sense at all...the rebate center has no idea when your credit card is charged and it won't say that on your receipt either...if you go onto your best buy account and check out the order, only the order date is shown...so if it falls between 8/10-8/16 you're golden regardless of when they ship or bill your credit card...all you have to do is get the rebates sent in before 9/16

I ordered this and it has been shipped. The receipt that you print out online after the items ship shows the ORDER DATE. It does NOT show the date items were charged to your card. It does NOT indicate that the ship date is the purchase date.
